How do I fix the nose-dive?

The other good thing about an Icon (or similar) setup is the weight savings over stock steel suspension...you may only be saving a few pounds, but all of them count.

are you saying the Icon, etc. is lighter than the stock parts? I've never pulled off a stock part that was heavier than something I replaced it with. My Toytec coils were heavier then the stock set-up. And my TC arms are much heavier than the stock arms. you want this stuff to be heavier/tougher, not lighter.

Heavier does not always mean tougher. Carbon fiber can be stronger than steel and worlds lighter. Aluminum vs steel can be the same. Titanium springs can be 20% - 30% lighter than their steel counterparts while having a cycle life 5 times of what steel does.

I didn't have a chance to weigh the stock vs. Aftermarket components so I'm not sure what the savings is (if any). But in some applications (from my Audi tuning days) we noticed significant weight savings in aftermarket coilovers and some braking systems. Also wheels can be lighter and stronger all at the same time too. Depends if you are using steel vs aluminum, or even some aluminum vs aluminum. This was just one point to respond about the suspension questions and why.

so is the overall census that Icon stage 5 is better that xreas on road? Just need some opinions. Thinking about swapping xreas out. this is getting #E$#$%# expensive. want optimal on road handling..

Icon is hands down better at X-reas if you use it for what it is intended for. If you are thinking it improves road handling like running a slalom course with better times handling. I would'nt waste my money and save for a nascar truck or sports car. You can also just buy Icon components like I did rather then buy the whole stage kits.

The type of handling it improves and smooths out is handling on rough terrain,be it on a rough road or offroad, at speed. They feel harsher then x-reas at small bumps like speed bumps at real slow speed. Same speed bumps going fast on Icons and they eat them up like they aen't even there.

For instance, a local highway on ramp here is ate up bad with pot holes on a curve from construction. Going over the potholes Friday night with the Icons and it just floated over them and I had full control,no body lean or bucking and a undescribable solid feel.

Especially with these new stiffer frames on the 5th's.I had to circle back and do it again a little faster the next time!

I would have had to slow down or lose control and be bucked all over the place with X-reas. The feel like I could go run the Baja 500 tomorrow!
