How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

It is from an AZ dealer. I am driving over to get it. The San Diego Dealers I called wanted at least $5k over MSRP, as did the Riverside Dealer.

I think it is worth the drive.

Not sure I can make the time to do that, but which dealer is it?

At this point I’m probably going to wait till August and hope inventory comes back and prices go down. I have until late August for my lease to be up on my current vehicle.

A month and a half ago, I bought mine at Frank Toyota in National City, they offered 11% off MSRP right off the bat and I ended up taking it. Looking at their inventory today though, they have none. Because you had me curious, looking at Toyota Carlsbad who was the next in line with their quote, they used to have ~50 4Runners on their lot, now it's in the teens. I agree with you that the rumored supply issues is hitting the dealers.

Just a quick thank you to this forum, from a new member and former lurker.

As others are mentioning it's been tough in the PNW to find great deals like elsewhere in the country. Seeing a lot of $500 customer cash deals, none of the bigger dollar amounts. I'm also shopping cheaper models. I spent the past week talking to 10 dealers in depth, and another 8 superficially. PM me for details if you want.

Base model TRD (we don't want the leather seats tbh) the best I could get was 652 below invoice. Ended up going with 500 below invoice as it was the local dealer and we get the 2 years of free oil changes and saved a 2 hr drive each way to buy, and of course wouldn't service at that location.

Normal salespeople stuff, but everyone fought really hard. They were largely only willing to match other offers and not beat them, regardless of where in the state they were. All of the best deals outside of the Portland area FWIW.

Details. MSRP $40,729. No frills. Purchase price $37,656 (-7.5%). OTD $38,512 with TTL.

Did the 1.9% financing and not the $500 cash back as my bank was at 3.09% and didn't want to spend down savings that much. But if you do the math on the 500 back, that would've been -8.8% off MSRP which isn't bad. It's not 10-12% some of you been getting, but not terrible.

Appreciate all the help and insights and info on after market products and the like. Love it.

So far I have spent a day emailing back and forth with few dealerships. Pretty frustrating experience I would say.

Trying for 2020 ORP in Super White with MSRP of 43.250 (no extra options)

So far got $500 off, $1100 off and $2200 off offers and some of sales people almost called me insane for asking 5-6k off MSRP.

Pretty frustrated so far. Toyota of Bellevue really pissed me off with their best offer of $500 when I spoke to them on the phone. Wow.... :argue:

Will try Toyota of Olympia next and go out little more farther. Any other suggestions. I am ok with driving up to Oregon if needed.

Northern Va - Off Road Premium with KDSS MSRP of $46,378 got for $39,450 before tax and dealer fee. OTD at $41,700.

Was also quoted $44,000 OTD for a Limited with MSRP around $48,250.

Got these prices with the Costco auto purchase program.

I picked up my limited 2020 4 runner at the Molle Toyota yesterday, the original price is $49199, the sell price is $42949 and plus $199 admin fee, this is the lowest price I can find between 500 radius miles, thank for this forum again.
Highly recommend if you live not far away to purchase.

That seems like a great deal. Just pulled the trigger on a 2020 ORP, MSRP of $44,792, sale price of $39,000 (including incentive) plus TTL. I was happy with that...

We picked up our SR5 Premium, out the door, for 39k in Virginia. ~42k MSPR, dealer went down to ~36.5k in price. Rest of the cost was taxes, title, tags, and their darn document fee.

I located in Indina, the best tactic is don't restrict search in your area, so my search area is within 500 miles, which is acceptable to pick it up and drive to home.

If it's already on order for you, it's probably too late to negotiate unless you're willing to back out in order to try to get a better price. ORPs in this region are all -$750 from the factory plus -$1500 if you're buying it and then some dealers have further discounts on top of that. Seeing them offered on dealer websites for around $1k over invoice without really trying, but also depending on what Factory/Port-installed options are included.

Worked an Army Green at MSRP but it sold before I could complete the sale. Another dealer was $2k over MSRP. I would personally never pay a dollar over MSRP for a vehicle. TRD 4Runner trims are selling like crazy right now, at least in this region.

Went with an ORP instead, which they are discounting at most dealers, and saved over $10k vs the Pro MSRP, which is more than enough to match and probably exceed the Pro's upgrades. I wasn't 100% sold on Army Green anyway, it's a bit of an odd shade of green, not one I really liked the look of so much as I liked the fact of it being a unique color for one model year for resale value. imho, there's little reason to buy a Pro if you aren't getting the unique color.

I just got my ORP w/ KDSS for $41k, plus ttl in SoCal. Msrp was $46k. Deal handled through email and in the dealership for about an hour total to sign all the paperwork. I found that if you do a search on cargurus and see which ones have been on the lot for about 90 days, they will be willing to deal more. It helps that there are a ton on Toyota dealers in Socal too.
