How much below or over invoice did you pay? Did you pay the TDA on your 5th gen T4R?

Thats seems a good quote to me.

Not sure where you are in NC, but Rock Hill, SC Toyota has a lot full with over 12 5th Gen 4runner's on it. It might be worth a call for a quote comparison. I know that's not your question, but I'm just saying if your looking around for the best quote if might be worth a try. Good luck and keep us posted with what you find!

I'm a little south of Raleigh. Rock Hill is a bit of a drive for me. However, I notice they have a shoreline blue TE on the lot. That's my favorite color and might just be worth the trip:)

Did someone say revive this thread?

Anyway, I'm looking at a 2012 4runner on a local dealer lot. Is there there any reason to believe the numbers listed above have changed drastically?

I visited the local dealer and he quoted me a price of around $36,500 (before TTL). It's a 2012 TE with KDSS and Navigation. That price seemed decent until I read the quoted post.

There seems to be a lot of knowledge on this site and I was just wondering what you guys thought.

Thanks

KDSS and nav aren't standard, so those prices, at the very least, would have to be added to the above numbers.

2013 Black TE

MSRP $41,860. Nav, KDSS, wheel locks, paint film, remote start, all weather mats and tray, exhaust tip

Paid $37,765.82, first offer from the Internet mgr. Unit was in inventory over 90 days so they were paying on the principal plus flooring interest.

I would have been fine paying over invoice. Dealer markups even with aftermarket profit on warranties, financing etc. isn't even close to what we pay for jewelry, furniture or $10.00 a gallon filtered tap water.

'11 sr5 w/ the audio system, floormats, and power seats (I think that's all the options) - 31,500 plus tax (630$) so 32,130.

You got a good deal, I live in upstate NY and there were none around, so I called around in a 500 mile radius and got mine near Poughkeepsie, NY...my sticker was $41,3?? (no AW mats, no remote start). I paid $37,8??.

Your right at invoice, great, as probably less supply in your area, Toyota dealers are like gas stations in Southern California, lots of TE's around

You guys are on the right path, paying below invoice, making sure not to pay any garbage fees, etc; but I still think there is a better way.

Here's my story.
I bought a 2011 sr5 with 3rd row seat and running boards for $33975 out the door. That included EVERYTHING. As far as I could tell, I did good. The MSRP on the car was about 35500. I got it that low by calling the "fleet manager" and asking him his bottom line price "out the door". By doing this, I eliminating going thru the sales guy and him trying to making a %. By asking for "out the door" price I also eliminated extra "garbage fees".

Some of you might say it will vary if dealer is overstocked or wants to move the vehicles fast or not. That is not the case. I had to order mine because hey didn't have the color I wanted. I had to wait 2 weeks for them to locate the exact one I wanted and trade for it with another dealer... None of this I paid extra for.
I bought mine in October of 2010. The dealers were just getting the 2011 4runners on the lots.. Plus it was prime SUV selling season..

I will never go thru sales people when buying new cars, going thru fleet managers over the phone before even coming in, is the only way to buy..
