Awesome! I'm getting ready to replace mine too - if the insurance company approves it, I'll go with the Toyota branded windshield; if not, then PGW. Can't wait to be able to see clearly again!

OEM is like $800 or something.. pilkington is non-existant at this point in time and PPG is garbage. Idk about PGW but I do see some Toyota windshields with that Brand on it...
No filming just pictures.. there are two things that I don’t think I’ll ever do myself. 1 is alignment and 2 is replacing a windshield. Everything else is fair game. He had some nice specialty tools. I was watching him while I replaced my tail lights and idk how often we’d be replacing windshields... def do-able but for $220 out the door, it was worth watching him do his magic.

Solo dude that owns his own business. He did this in Europe (I think Germany) and then came to the states to continue his trade. Really nice guy. I never leave yelp reviews but I’m going to leave this guy one. He’s mobile so he comes to you, he has a lot of knowledge and the tools to do the job right. I was stoked to pull the trigger with this guy.

Yup, that's the quote I'm getting for OEM, so I doubt the insurance company will cover it. If not, I have a local guy who can put in a PGW or FYG (which I think is the Fuyao brand you got) for about $230, so that's a good fallback option.

Got some new tires from the discount tire sale last year. Cooper STT PRO 295’s.. they rub, kind of wish I went 285’s so I didn’t have to deal with trimming. I was lazy and didn’t do anything about it and when I was parallel parking, my tire ripped off my drivers side fender flare. Oops.

Another axle seal job in the books for Tim and I.. we working on another video showcasing a new axle seal puller/press tool from this eBay seller. This thing is legit and has everything you need to get this job done. No need for a bearing splitter or press sleeve kit. My rig has 194,000 miles and to my knowledge, this job has never been performed. Because it looked like the original retainers in there I’m guessing it wasn’t done. Pretty good testament for Toyota.. almost 200k?? But it’s not a matter of IF, it’s a matter of when...and although the ABS sensor was wet, the gear oil didn’t pass through the bearing and coat the brakes which is good.... we helped a couple people the other day with their axle seals and their brake shoes were covered in gear oil.

Got my [MENTION=28464]eimkeith[/MENTION] PCK and my lower link reinforcement kit welded on thanks to [MENTION=271883]T4topher[/MENTION] and [MENTION=166333]thenightman[/MENTION] ..
When I was thinking about how I’m going to weld on these items, I thought to myself “only one man can weld these on, and his name must be KEITH”
Naturally a bracket made by a guy named Keith needs to be handled with care by a man of the same name. Hahah.
But in all seriousness a HUGE thank you to @theknightman . This dude has some serious welding skills. And a HUGE thanks to [MENTION=271883]T4topher[/MENTION] for lending his space and tools and welder.
It turned into an all day affair (Tim and I know this all too well) it definitely took longer than expected due to some slight adjustments and other factors. But in the end, we prevailed!

Had an epiphany the other day about how I could tackle boxing the end of my frame rail from when I chopped them off for the ARB Bumper installation.
I took the end caps that should have been installed if I had a Tacoma, and chopped them up.. these end caps were perfect because they already have a nut welded to the back of them. With the help of [MENTION=271883]T4topher[/MENTION] we ended up with some pretty sicmods. What do you think of my very first welds [MENTION=166333]thenightman[/MENTION] ?? Not bad for my first time eh? Welding vertically seemed to work out ok. Still need to work on my horizontal welds.

Not sure why I hadn't looked through your build thread yet.
This was the same experience that I had: wet ABS sensor, but did not get into the brakes yet. I was right at 209k on the originals, so seems that they are due about the time of the second timing belt

You might need a bit more grinding to get a flat surface on the front there. Not sure how the ARB bumper works though. The Shrockworks one needs a flat surface:
The Shrockworks bracket has a return on it to allow a plug weld through one of the sides (just barely visible above). It was ground flat on the front and painted. Oh, and that was my first time welding too. :nod:
