Introducing the RAY10

Lol like I said just my opinion. I was fortunate and got my Ray10 first try so no games here. Glad you like your vectors or else all of our trucks would look the same haha.

PM me a picture of your truck. I'd like to see it.

Here you go. 18 inch wheels, toyo 275/65 r18s +1 offset. D601 anthracite vectors. Bilstein 5100s on all corners. 1.75” front setting and Day Star 1.5inch spacer in back. No hub ring as the wheels are 108mm bore and inline with Toyota specs. Installer aaid a hub ring would not fit. Got Concentric lugs with extra thread that basically made the wheel lug centric. Here are the pics. Very clean in my opinion.

Definitely looks good but not as good as the Ray10's :wink:wink:

I would have to agree. They definitely look similar, but what you were saying before with the vectors having a continuous concave slant and saying that looks better than the noncontinuous slant of the ray10s...I don't quite agree with. Again...its all just opinion though. The vectors are a bit cheaper, which is a plus for them. (and of course, availability)

I believe that its because of the noncontinuous slant of the ray10s....that when you are looking at them straight on, the holes of the ray10s have "depth", where the vectors look flat. There are also 11 holes on the vectors vs 10 of the ray10s....so the holes are bigger and are rounder on the ray10s (more like a revolver gun hole look) vs more teardrop shaped of the vectors.

Anyway...just trying to quantitatively analyze why I think the ray10s look better than the vectors to me. (I'm glad that you are happy with the vectors though)

Oh wait...maybe you can answer this for me.

With the anthracite vectors....are the 11 holes ..are they painted black in the interior of them? The ray10s are the same gunmetal color. I'm talking about like here ->

If the vectors are painted black...that would also cause them to have that more "flat" look on the face.

Yeah, it is all about preference. Don’t get me wrong, ray10s look good, but not good enough to beg to get them. I think SCS has a demand, but is too small of a company to get the Thai’s to make more of them. You ever have issues with them for whatever reason, you are back to the game of trying to get a replacement. They make people buy 5 just to not be in that situation. Just my thoughts. To each their own, but I am riding with my new wheels, for 90% of the people who might buy ray10s they are nothing but a picture on a screen. And unless it is a 3 -D screen, there is absolutely no depth....lol. Good luck gents. Buying wheels should not be an ordeal. Btw, Vectors are cheaper because SCS can inflate the price because they have people who are playing their game..no supply, high demand, price increases. Economics 101....

Yes, the vectors have a darker color in that area. Not all the way a black color but darker for sure! Plus I got 18s x 9inch. Fills the wheel well up nice. Ray 10s only 17s 8.5.

I think I mentioned this earlier so I'm going to kindly ask again. Please do not derail this thread. It's a thread about our Ray10 wheel. I'm happy that you're ecstatic about your vector wheels. I also understand that you don't agree with our business model and so on and so forth. We can't please everyone nor will we try to.

Feel free to create a new thread in the proper subforum and post all the photos you want. I hope you can respect that and end the vector vs. ray10 chat here.

Part of the coolness of owning SCS wheels, is not everyone can have them. I think you're just mad because you couldn't get a set of SCS wheels and had to settle for the 4Wheels parts special, Bro Flatbill-esque Vector Wheels. Looking at all your past posts confirmed it. Move on dude. Nobody cares.

You obviously hate so much on these wheels with all your previous posts, that your envious of them. If you didn’t care, you wouldn’t post. And I’m pretty sure your the only one that “prefers” vectors
