i think i woulndt change the 4 runner for another truck. not eve/n TUNDRAS TACOMAS .ford gmc.lincoln etc maybe im in love or crazy but i have 6 years wanting one 4rnr and at last i have a month now.. im not dissapointed even mine is sr5. excuse my english. tnx im happy now

I think im not going to have complaints, mine has 148,000 miles , sr5.2wd (never go offroad just city), 1999, lets see how good it is as all the toyotas I have had since 1998 ..... some people told me better buy chevrolet or ford, cherokke etc, but those are not good for me..

We never got the 70 series LC over here. The 3.4L is an excellent engine, but they got the 3.0 KZ-TE overseas. Overseas, you can walk into a dealership and buy a Hilux or Surf with a diesel engine, solid front axle in some cases, front and rear lockers stock, and in a package without very many extras included that can break.

Many Toyota models are emasculated to cater to the more "sheltered" driving habits of the American consumer.

The 4Runner is a solid platform, similar in many ways to the 90 series LC. It is well supported by aftermarket suppliers and benefits from many interchangeable parts with the Tacos. A very utilitarian truck, it comes very capable out of the box. No snip snip, although I still would have liked mine to come with a SFA.

I didn't know that any 3rd gen 4runners, Hiluxes, or Surfs ever came with SFAs in any country. I've seen pics of 2nd gens in Australia with SFAs, but never a 3rd gen. Are you sure?

The 4runner is among the only 3 trucks I've ever really wanted, the other 2 being the Mercedes g wagen and the old land cruisers of the 90s. So u could say, for me, it's among the top 3 trucks in the world as they're all I wanted

BEST SUV? Hell Yeah! I love my 4runner

But as far as a Truck Goes 03-06 Tundra is my best bet. Well refined, lexus quiet, smooth power, sturdy interior and exterior. Miss mine.

You could get hilux's in Israel up until 1997 according to one issue of 4WDTO.

Never seen anything on surfs though.
