Harlock, isn't that a square drain on the far right of your door in the 2nd to last picture? Kinda in the crease there.
Is water supposed to get into the rear hatch/tailgate?

Center and one in each corner on mine for the square holes.
Have different drain plugs too, has a bit of sponge in the inside holes.
Noticed this new window seal has extra foam at the tips.
My old one was really nasty.
Was thinking a person might could put a piece of wax paper on the window/corner, then smear a bit of some kind of RTV/gasket goop to seal the corners better.

Which looks like it might drain around that center button area. But no.
Also, my plugs are toward the center of the door instead of near the sides as it looks like yours are. I think yours are in a better location for draining.
It also looks like your plugs fit in a square opening. Mine fit a round hole.
The square holes ( 2) at each corner are not for the plugs (those are rounds),are 2 extra drains w/out plugs like the ones (as posted bellow your pics) , are also on one of your pics

Had same issue here, since it wasn't possible to get the spare part, i used structural silicon to seal the back glass completely and then detached the switch to prevent someone to activate it by mistake. It was not like i was winding down the back window anyhow
Whoa, I use that rear window all the time. One of my favorite features seeing it can be done with the fob.

Any time I open it on the road, I just get my exhaust fumes rolling into my truck
I just noticed (by way of hearing it) water in my tailgate late last week. I also have the same setup as Harlock, and I went ahead and pulled my solid plugs - not a ton, but plenty of water came out. I was also thinking to replaced the seal around the outside of the back window. Surprisingly, after the past few days of rain, I haven't heard any water in the tailgate... yet.

Ah, I only do that long enough for the AC to push some hot air out the back. I generally open it when the truck is off whether it be to get back there or let heat out. I probably wouldn't use it as much if my hatch latch worked properly.

Had the same issue, removed the plugs out a month ago and did the trick perfectly

the weatherstripping is an easy fix, best to fix it, before water enters and damages the hatch lock mechanism.
Literally came across this thread after driving home from work and hearing a ton of water splashing down the lift gate.
I did just put in a 3rd brake light after doing a spoiler delete that im thinking may be the culprit but ill have to do some checking.
I went ahead and added the weather stripping to my Amazon cart and will peobably replace it anyway since the car is a 2003 and came out of florida... im sure the seals are due for a change

I would have loved to used it too but the climate here is quite unforgiving, especially on roads ( i am 5 degrees far from the equator) the car roof can reach 60/70 degrees in trafic, so i am like locked in with all windows up and AC running all the time, keeping a window down is a suicide unless you want to sweat like hell

That is solved by doing a right-angle mod on the exhaust.

did this fix this? It seems I am having water come in the top of my tailgate seal and trying to figure out what its from.
have yet to do this unfortunatley..
one of the main areas of infiltration for me ended up being the 3rd brake light I cut in that didn't seat all the way.. but I still need to replace the rear seal after the hatch is painted.
