ISR Plugs, made on my 3D Printer!

Hi everyone! I've been wanting to do the ISR mod on my '98 for a while now, but never got around to it. With the absurd amount of rain we've been getting lately, I have been spending more nights indoors, and from that came the realization that I could design and print my own ISR Plugs.

So I finally got around to taking some pics to view instead of the video. I am working on modeling another version of the large plug for the front that has two threaded holes, since I noticed that some trucks have two vacuum lines running from here (I believe the other is for the power steering..) A 'T' fitting could be used, but I think that two barbs would ultimately look better.

I've been running these for nearly three months now with no troubles at all, so I'd say they hold up underhood just fine. They are PETG, so they should continue to not have any issues as far as I know.

Did they improve performance? probably not, but who knows.
Did they clean up the look of the engine bay? Hells yeah they did! Makes all the work I put into powder coating the valve covers worth it. hahaha

Intake Silencer Removal. I replaced the big Helmholtz resonator boxes with these plugs.

Shoot me an email addy, and I'll send them off. I haven't yet drawn the plug with two threaded holes, but I'm sure I'll get it done soon. You could always mod the file of yourself if you have CAD software.

Great idea on the wiring retainer too. I have to critique it, and say I think you should move your locating tab 180* to put your wiring retainer on the bottom of the plug. It seems a little “out there” up top like that.
I can’t use your kit on my ‘01, but I would if I had a ‘96-98!

Sorry for the rookie ? but what does this install do? I just bought a 1999 4runner randomly cause of the price and I am really getting into it. I just did my first paint job ever on it and I am kinda addicted to this project now and have some major plans.

This install is similar to replacing your intake tube with something like an Airaid intake tube, but not quite to that level. It really just removes the silencers from the tube, which should make the intake noises a little louder, but I haven't noticed much on mine. I'm sure that once I do the deckplate mod, it'll growl a bit.

Thanks! I like your idea. I'll spin mine in the tube to see what it looks like (and if the retainer clip will stay in place) and maybe modify the CAD drawing for future prints if it's worth it.

Got a set of these in the mail today!
I imagine OneOffStroker is gonna be getting busier and busier with requests.
The fitment on my 98 Limited was perfect (even the smallest detail like the notch that hold the plug from turning). And cleaned up the engine bay and still looks stock.
