fwiw: i liked my (265) Duratracs a lot their first winter, but their winter performance seemed to fade pretty fast, in my experience.
Yup. I had the same experience with my Duratracs - good the first winter and sucked the second winter. I know I'm going to catch a lot of flack for this, but in my opinion Duratracs are one of the most overrated AT tires out there. I'm not saying they're bad, but the way some people talk about them it's like they're the ultimate off road tire with magical unicorn rainbow powers in the winter. They're just average AT tires that look more aggressive than most.Duratrac's siping only goes down something like 50% of tread. Once you pass that in wear, they suck for packed snow/ice.
