Agreed that the ac doesn't blow that cold. Filter is neat and everything is working fine (ac is cycling on/off normally), but during hot sunny days, with the black interior, I really could take less cycling-off of the ac compressor.

Can the compressor be modded not to turn itself on/off? Would that make the output colder?

My AC does reasonably well in 100 degree 100% humid Florida heat after being cooked on a black asphalt lot all day. Only things that work better are the massive compressors in full size trucks.
Close the rear vent that comes out of the center console stack, that'll give you more blow in front.

Tint all your windows, that will make a huge difference. I have 15% front and 30% rear + factory "tint" and it matches perfectly. Nothing on the windshield for me. I wish I would have done 15% over the entire thing.
The factory "tint" is just baked privacy glass and has no UV filter. I'd do as dark as you can legally with good quality UV rated tint. In Oklahoma we don't have vehicle inspections, but the tint limit is 22.5% on the front and back has no limit, I think. But no one enforces it as long as its not 5% over everything. Too many people working the oil field and outside that really need that tint cause your truck may be the only cool down place for miles.

Sure you could mod it. It wouldn't last very long though. If you are that hot then get an external AC Dometic DUO THERM BRISK AIR CONDITIONER 13500 BTU Top Unit S/D - .. as it would cost less to do something like this than screw up your original unit. You could be the first!
Is there anyway to increase the output of the blower for the AC?
-increasing the rpms of the blower (the thing that's behind the glovebox)
-making the air temperature cooler?

When I got my runner back in October, I was a little worried about the AC. I didn't have a lot of warm days to check it out then, but when I did, I thought it was weak and cycling the compressor too often. I soon discovered the heater worked really well, but took longer to get up to temp than any of my other cars. ECU is probably shunting warm fluid to the engine block when it's cold.
Now that it's almost Summer, I've been running around with the AC on all the time. We've already been over 100F.
Here are my observations: I started out by closing all vents except the two for the driver. I am the only one in the vehicle usually, so I wanted all the air on me. This helps with air flow. It obviously does nothing about air temp. In really hot weather, the compressor stays on - or maybe it's because I run it on recycle mode. Either way, this AC unit gets COLD. Sorry yours isn't the same. You may want to have the dealer check your refrigerant level. I end up turning down the fan even on 95F + days after a few minutes now. And, I've opened all the other vent again!
So, maybe it's only on the milder days that my compressor cycles too much. But I've never had a colder unit in a vehicle. Just the air flow is a little weak.
Hope that helps. Oh, one other thing; it seems the more I ran it the more efficient it became. Maybe there's a break-in period for the air conditioner. I'm at just over 8kmi on mine now.

Hahaha, That would be both ridiculous and awesome.
I totally agree. Even after being parked in the sun for hours, 5 minutes at 40+mph with no stop signs/lights, and its good to go. At highway speeds, the air is downright icy.
AC was great in my '97 Corolla & '08 Tacoma as well.

Not much you can do without a lot of modifications. Do not remove the cabin air filter, only replace. It is there to prevent debris and dirt from accumulating on your evaporator. Once dirt is stuck to your evaporator, the cooling efficiency will decrease dramatically and you will the need to take it out and clean it. Also, if you change out the blower you will actually get warmer air out of your vents but increase the quantity of air. The more time the air has to interact with the evaporator, the cooler the air will be until temp equilibrium is reached. Best two things you can do is get tint and to ensure that you don't have a freon leak and it is fully charged.
I'd take your 110 with 10% humidity over my 95 with 95-100% humidity. AZ rocks.

There is this tint called crystalline, it basically cuts out 80-90% of uv rays and it dramatically cuts heat coming through your windows. My tint shop had a demonstration in there lobby and I was amazed! They took the darkest tint possible (5% limo) and the lightest crystalline tint and put it on a slab of glass side by side they slid the glass in a wooden box that had a red heat bulb and you put your hand underneath each tint and I kid you not felt heat under 5% tint and having my hand under the crystalline tint felt cooler. Crystalline is a really thin layer of sheet stacked on top of dozen of other thin layers but it the same thickness as regular tint. This causes the uv rays that pass through the film to be defused x how many layers of film are in the tint. Look it up of course to it is expensive $500 all the way around and you can tint the windshield clear film and it would have the same effect that is $200 more, but shoot if your going to tint might as well use it this. The tint also gives you a better vision through the glass like those HD glass. Thought I should share this awesomeness.
