3 suggestions...
1) Take it to the dealer and see if they will still repair it or give you a new 'door' for free. Just being out of warranty and for such a simple repair the dealer probably will do it at no cost to keep a good reputation.
2) You just bought a $40K vehicle - I'm assuming you did not use the money under your couch cushions for it, so, just pay for a new door. Can it really be that much?
3) Duct Tape!
