Just wondering what the consensus is on some things to do to a newer 4Runner. Only has 11k miles. I know I want running boards and to get some lug locks for the wheels. After that, not sure. Any suggestions?
Move the exhaust to side. Fairly cheap to do. Makes a huge difference if you like riding with your rear window open.
I have zero issues running with my window down and having a rear exhaust exit. What's the issue other people are having? I looked at some of the rigs with side exit and the look is not for me that's for sure. I suppose if I was having whatever issue some others are having I would reconsider.. but it would have to be a fairly big issue.
Definitely agree on new floor mats. I tried Weathertech and they weren't near the quality of Husky. The custom rear compartment mat for my new Limited is MUCH nicer from Husky. I returned the Weathertech, not custom fitted at all and was thin junk.

If you like running boards but want a more aggressive look check out the N-FABs. I just got my Runner about a month ago and they are on my wish list for sure.
Because of the heat? I got a Trail Premium the end of July and have had absolutely no problems with the softex seats getting hot. They got a little warmer before I had the windows tinted and user a weathertech sun shade, but definitely not leather hot.Since you live in Phoenix, my first suggestion would be to install cloth seats.

OP:
Since your in the valley, I would recommend getting your windows tinted and use a good sun shade. It has made a huge difference for me as far as reducing the inside temperature after sitting in the sun.
