Just Bought A Runner, Help Wanted With First Mod!

Hey whats up guys, new to the forum this is my first post and hopefully not last! Just bought a 2001 Runnaa SR5 and the first mod I found I like is the satoshi grill mod. I've already ordered the fj logo and planning on ordering the blank grill from another parts place and start from scratch. Im not very good with my hands and the mod looks like it takes some work, so what im looking for is someone in the denver area who has knowledge how to make the grill. I would like to help whoever it is make the grill, I am also willing to pay whatever it takes to get it done the way I want. If anyone is willing to help a newb out please email me on here or my other email [email protected]

What up man i did a black mesh grill on my 02 not hard at all man. Do it yourself youll be proud. If it were me i would do performance over looks just me tho any questions on that let me kno.
 
Lots of detailed threads on "How To" do this mod. Just type satoshi in here and search thread titles and start making notes, I think you'll find that you can handle it. Good luck.
 
I think you can do it too! It seems like one of those mods that really comes down to patience and having the right tools.

I think first and foremost a new owner needs to post pics of said 4runner! Haha
 
Yes yes.. New members must first post pics lol... I made a mesh grille for mine, time consuming yes, but not overly hard- do it yourself man.. Like others have said too, theres plenty of how to's on here.
 
Haha thank you all for the vote of confidence! It just seems like alot of work and something that would just take me awhile thats why I figured I'd ask for help on this one! As for mods I shouldve stated in my first post its not going to be my first mod, later this week I'm having the toytec ultimate lift put on, aswell as 285 70 17 goodyear wrangler duratracs with 17inch fuel octane rim! Its going to look so sweeeeetttt im so excited! As for the pics I'll post some of my baby when I get off work so all you guys can see befores and afters!

Thanks for all the input guys, cant wait to put some real time on the trails!

ps. anyone from colorado hit me up once my ride is done and you can show me some nice trails :)

Well, hello there my Thunder Cloud brother! Looking good. And isn't it amazing how different it feels without the running boards on there?
 
yea the running boards off is much better!! tomorrow im going to home depot to pick up some plastidip to blackout all my emblems... will post pics when done!
 
you shouldn't need private instruction, it is pretty straight forward. see the link above.

It does look like you will need to order a OEM 96-98 grill to use. You can get one for $75 on eBay.

That is fine because it will look a lot better once you ditch the 2001 grill anyways.
