The Tivo recorded it as one of those special ads at the bottom of the menu. It is the story of 2 different teams competing in the Baja 1000 both using FJs. The first is Rod Millen's pro team with all the money and support from Toyota and the second is just a bunch of guys that have the Baja dream. It is an hour long program and was really interesting.
I won't spoil the finish for those that want to watch it. The Tivo says the next showings are on SPEED 1/25 3AM and 1/27 10PM if you want to catch it.
If you did see it I thought it was interesting when Millen broke down and they replaced his ECU and it worked for a couple of miles. What I thought was strange is that the FJ would run for about 2 seconds and die, and it looked like they started to tackle it from the mechanical side, but in all the shots and the dialog I never saw an OBD reader and no one said anything about checking the diag codes. Then one of the mechanics said he fixed it by shorting out the airflow sensor by trial and error. They were down for 5 hours. Maybe his rig was so modified that the OBD system was scratched, but both were running in the mini-stock class. If it was a faulty sensor or even bad ECU that the diag codes could be really useful, maybe not.
And I really felt the other teams pain when the lead driver rolled his newly race prepped FJ on the prerun!
