If you are looking for functional MODS, first on your list should be new tires and Bilstein shocks. If you can do the install or have a "friend" that can help you out, you will only be about $1200-$1600 into your now bottomless wallet. Not really any true performance enhancing mods out there except for suspension, wheels, tires...nothing really for increased HP or MPG. Come to think of it, most of the "best" mods will decrease your MPG and slow you down! As mentioned above, CAI and exhaust sound cool, but will give you minimal, if any gains in the performance department. Just spend some time in the member build threads, owner and lifted pics. You will find endless things that you now have to figure out how to afford. Kids college fund.....or 4Runner.....Good luck with the wife!

Save this link and use is wisely http://www.toyota-4runner.org/off-t...far-more-accurately-than-standard-method.html

haha, trust me. Looking at those build pages and other user pictures makes me very jealous. I think the stay at home wife is going to have to pick up a job, lol

I unfortunately do not have a "4runner friendly wife". You may find yourself thinking...Hmmm, what mods can I buy and install without her noticing?

Trust me, my wife does not want me "making the 4runner some offroade hillbilly rig" as she says. I however think many of the mods looks amazing, and increase the value of the vehicle.

Also, anyone know how I can have a picture of my ride appear right below my name on the left hand side like so many of you?

Click on User CP at the top left of the page. That pic on the left is your "Avatar". You can edit that amongst other things from that page.
