KDSS and towing

Hi Gang,

A couple quick question for you. I frequently tow a 3,000 pound camper that has a 400 pound tongue weight.

1. Will having KDSS in any way affect (i.e. reduce) the towing capabilty of our 4R's.

2. Are there any special considerations to take into account when towing with a KDSS equipped 4R?

Not according to Toyota. They designed it, so I'm betting they would know. The only difference KDSS would bring would be the improved ride and reduced body roll.

My 2011 TE with KDSS tows just as well as my 2011 SR5 did. It just handles better doing it!

Well, I looked through the first eight pages of searches for "KDSS and Towing" and found zero information.

Just out of curiousity, when you do tow, about how much weight are you pulling.

KDSS has nothing to do with towing. So no, you should be fine.

Ya, KDSS is nothing more than a tricky hydraulically manipulated sway bar. Nothing to do with towing.

hook up and go, I tow offroad, the KDSS is and advantage there, no derating required
