Kenwood - Brown "Mute" wire...What to do with it?

Hi guys!

I'll be installing my Kenwood DNX6140 this weekend, hopefully.

I pretty much have everything soldered up and ready to go.

I do have on last question though for the brown "mute wire" on my Kenwood harness.

In the manual it says, "Connect to the terminal that is grounded when either the telephone rings or during conversation"

The DNX6140 has built in bluetooth. I tried searching on google and people to think that this brown wire has to be connected, if you are using an add-on bluetooth module. Mine is already built in.

Some people say to leave it alone and cap it off. Other seem to say to ground it.

Any suggestions on what to do from you guys?

I hope your installation went smoothly. If you haven't already figured it out, the system pauses automatically when the connected bluetooth telephone rings. You only need to attach the microphone and Tel Mute wire if you are using a hands-free phone kit. So CAP the brown wire.

Yup, got it installed and all is working well. I ended up leaving it capped off.
