know any welder in east bay

Hey guys

I bought a slider from BAMF awhile back. I can't find anyone to help me install the slider since its not bolt on. I went to a few shop nearby and told them I got the slider from BAMF and they don't want to install for me. I don't know why.

anyone know who does welding in or around alameda area?

Jerry at BAMF won't install anymore? If not, check out Any7 off road or Stanley Fabrication. [MENTION=83666]renosauce[/MENTION] is the owner of Stanley and could probably help you out although he's Redwood City area, not east bay.

I looked up any7 and unfortunately i think they went out of business. Jerry also told me he doesnt do installs anymore unless he has spare time. Gl finding a local welder, ive been searching myself.
 
Google 4x4 shops in the area & start making phone calls. Or ask some mechanics if they have a friend who's a welder. Also body shops have welders.
 
Or check the odd jobs/handyman section in your Craigslist or local classifieds. I guarantee there's a ton of guys with mobile welding rigs looking for sidework.

THIS.

I messaged 5 guys and had 5 responses within about 10 minutes. Those dudes are HUNGRY for work.

My experience was that the guy who told me his hourly rate in the first message seemed to be the most straight forward and honest, even if he wasn't the cheapest. I went with him and am very pleased with the work he did.
 
hey guys! i am def still around. although since i got married i have slowed my roll quite a bit. I have moved to Santa Cruz, because my wife owns a salon here. i am in the process of finally moving my shop after a year of commuting up to the Peninsula. I def will have more free time to do side jobs. if you guys are interested at all feel free to shoot me a PM. i will design sliders.. install "what you brung", and do any other smaller jobs. I have decided against full kill builds, do to lack of time. but i will help on any sort of smaller fab jobs. i just built this bumper for the wifes tundra.

Gotta give [MENTION=83666]renosauce[/MENTION] some props.. I am very happy with the work he did on my trailer hitch. He cut it up and moved it 1.5" to accommodate my body lift. Thanks again dude

where is your shop locate now? santa cruz or east bay?
 
Talked to some Tacoma guys and they used Diablo Off-road in Walnut Creek. Also a member in Cotati welds sliders on, but that might be a drive for some of you guys. I can get his number if any of you are interested. [MENTION=83666]renosauce[/MENTION] would be a great source too if he has the time and his shop.

Sweet! Where is the new shop at? I'll need to stop by and check it out. Also if you need any help moving some stuff I'm available after 5:30, not the greatest time, but figured I'd offer.

Have you looked into a steel skid for the Tundra? I got an 06 and the factory one sucks! I've seen you and your wife driving around town.

Awesome. Itll be a bit a drive for me but itll give me a chance to go to the wrecking yards too. Once i get my sliders and if i decide to get a weld together bumper ill get in touch with you.
