Koyo radiator part number 1998 question???

Has anyone bought one of these off ebay? I just received mine and have a few questions. Is Koyo having TYC make these for them in China, or did i get ripped off? In their defense i did go to Koyo's page and they say the plastic/aluminum ones are made in China, but does not specify sourcing another company like TYC to do so.

Koyo/TYC have been proven to be the same radiator. Members on this forum have bought a TYC radiator and received a Koyo package. The reverse is also true, bought a Koyo and received a TYC. They are in fact one and the same part, just a different package.

A little google-fu reveals this is common with other Koyo/TYC radiators, so it is not unique to just the 4-runner.

Great to hear! I asked the seller and he replied "tyc repackages koyo." Guess that sums it up.

just to add another opinion.
tyc and koyo and performance radiator all the same mfg.
they even stamp it almost the same part number.

i think tyc is "1998"
and koyo/performance radiator is "1998A"

i just replaced one and its great fitment and seems of nice quality
