Got the CS-144 Alternator installed tonight. I went with a CS-144 because it was 40 more amps than the CS-130. The CS-130 also had problems with failure due to poor cooling design. The CS-144 was designed with excellent cooling characteristics. I ordered a brand new Duralast Gold for a 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood. 100 amps at idle; 140 amps at 1500 RPMs and above. 14.75V at startup. Should help out the winch nicely.

Got some updates:
I'm not working 18hr days anymore so I got a chance to work on the 4Runner.
I finally got the Compressor Mounted up on Sunday.
I used the mounting bracket for the cruise control motor. The cruise control does work and I wouldn't use it if it did. So, it was a win for me.
I could of left the bracket alone and had the quick connect point to the side but I wanted it to be able to have it pointing up so it doesn't cause as much stress on it when airing up the passenger side. So I chopped up the bracket a little bit and re-welded it to make the compressor sit lower.
I used the 40amp inline fuse and skipped my Aux fuse block.
The compressor works great. It fills one tire from 10psi to 36psi in 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
LBJ are on there way (OEM). And I am going to pick up a bug deflector tomorrow because the new hood is already getting f'd up.
I also started a new project today and wanted to see what you guys think.
I'd rather not take out my rear windows while wheeling so I started building bars for them. There will be 3 bars and as of right now the plan is to put expanded sheet metal in between them. Here's the pictures. Let me know what you think so far.

I agree, never seen it done before. I bet it will look good, how is it mounting to the C&D pillars? Just welding to the surface?

I am planning on running 4 bolts thru each pillar. I will have to make a little room inside and might have to use a hole saw. I have to go pick up more steel tomorrow.

You could just build a rear exo from the rear doors back so you don't have to go through the pillars. Could also make it removable too.

I've seen tons of SUVs loose their rear side window while wheeling. So the bars are there for that. As for the expanded sheet metal between the bars, that should stop anything else like a brick. My 4Runner is my own personnel riot vehicle.

Well I've been busy but unfortunately I have to shave my 2 week beard and go back to work tomorrow. I've spent the last 2 days working on the skid plate.
I am still pretty new to welding. I have been teaching my self.
Here's some pics for you:
Plenty of clearance room.
I was going to burn it all in tonight but I ran out of wire and don't feel like running into town right now.
It really bugged me how a lot of front skid plates have a gap between the bumper and the skid so I mad it as flat as possible with just a big enough gap for movement.
I am using 3/16" plate. I'm not quite sure if I am going to need more horizontal bracing. I don't think I will need it unless you guys convince me otherwise. I am also not cutting a hole for the oil drain. I don't want a hole to get hung up on and would just rather deal with the skid every couple of months.
I am going to make a full skid for the truck. It will include one for the gas tank as well. (Sorry Gerdo, I really do like your skid plate though.)

I figured I share this. I wanted a Go Pro for a long time but didn't want to spend the money on one. But I got a water proof/shock proof/sand/dirt proof camera at this years Christmas party for free. And friends, I like free. I was determined to find a way to mount that booger on the truck. And this is was I came up with.
Please don't judge my welding skills on this. I was rushing in an attempt to not melt the plastic. I haven't tried to use it on road yet because I am working on the above skid plate, but the suction cup does work pretty well. It's supposed to hold 200lbs. I believe that. I could pull the 4Runner with it by hand, but I wouldn't try to use it to scale the outside of a large building.
The suction cup was 6 bucks, the camera was free and I had the material laying around the garage. So if it's a total failure, it still only cost me $6.
