I order a 4 speed Atlas last weekend should be here in another 3 weeks. So I did this today:
So much more room of activities...
This round will consist of TWF Double Bead Lock H1 Wheels, 39.5 Bias PBRs, 14"/16" ORIs, D60/14B, ARBs FR/RR, 5.38s, 35 Spline Stubs/Drive Slugs, Artec arms, and a 4 Speed Atlas. (Insert mad scientist laugh here.)

When I am done the scary part will be finding out what goes boom when I stomp on it. But it should be a monster and pretty bullet proof.
I'll do my best. It will be a slow build. I haven't even ordered tires/wheels or ORIs. So it will be shop art for a while. I am hoping to have back on the trail by mid summer. Making the Atlas case and sticks fit like I want it to is going to be challenging.

Thank you. After finishing the cage and chop top I was glad I flopped it. My wife doesn't quite share the same enthusiasm. (She did not like the flop)

How much up travel do you have? If you don't have atleast 5" of up travel they ride like crap. It takes quite a bit to tune them as well. Where is your build thread?

Not much going on at the moment...
Cutting things off and ordering parts. ORIs should be on order next week. I received the Atlas and wheels and tires should be here in a couple weeks. Had to bump down to a 37" tire because I still wanted to run PBR but the only 39.5/40ish tire they run is a 16.5" wide which is insane.
T-case is a 4 speed Atlas with the 11.7:1 ratio. Again, it's slow going but it will be on the trail again eventually.
This can't stay.
Had to do cable shifters since the hard mounted shifters would of came through the floorboard too far forward.
Going to have to build new mounts for the passenger seat.

What about going with a different tire, like a Super Swamper Irok or something else in the 40" flavor? I know you like the PBR's, but I personally wouldn't run anything smaller than a 40" on one tons. I honestly bet your old set up has more clearance than 37's with tons. I'm not trying to be an ass, just going off what I have experienced and seen first hand.
Oh, and that Atlas will never fit. You better box it up and ship it to me, I'll find something to do with it.
Seriously though, that thing is awesome, I'm super jealous! :thumb:

No offense taken. Feedback is always welcome. I gave a good long thought about switching tires and in the end I still chose the PBRs. I might actually have up to another inch of clearance at the diffs since I am shaving the 14 bolt. If I wasn't going to shave the 14B then yes it would have been nuts going to a 37". 40s in the PNW would make you yawn too. In the future I very well may go to a 40" but for now this is what I think I need.

That's cool, you know your rig and wheeling terrain better than anyone else. That set up should be bullet proof under 37's! I'm sure you have already thought about it, but when your setting up your suspension I would give yourself a little extra room in case you step up to 40's down the road.
And if your looking for some big rocks you can always head down to Swartz Canyon in Oregon.

The t-case is in for good now. The floor it patched up. I just used some random steel I had laying around the shop and then covered it in Home Depot's roofing repair to keep is water and rust proof. It won't do much for noise at this point.
I also go the shifters mounted and most of the center console back together. It was a pain in the ass to make everything fit. I wanted the center console to go back together a much as possible so I ended up playing with it a bucnh of different ways. I switched over to a 99+ center console to help make room as I want to keep my E-brake. I put the crawl box lever where the stock 4WD stick was and even swapped over the shift knob because, well....why not? It's going to confuse the shit out of whoever tries to steal my truck. 14/16" ORIs are on order and I still waiting on wheels and tires.
