KYB complete struts

My front struts are in rough shape. So much rot, Im concerned they wont last much longer. I do not like using strut compressors, so Im in the market for a complete strut I can install. I cruise FB MP looking for struts that folks pull off to upgrade, but nothing great so far. Ive used KYB shocks in the past and had a good experience.

Looking at Rock Auto, I see to variants of a complete strut from KYB:

KYB SRG4130 & 1
KYB SR4130 & 1

Does anyone have experience with either? My 08 4WD is completely stock, with no plans for any mods. It will only ever see muddy roads during mud season here in the Northeast. I dont plan to tow or haul heavy stuff.

The complete struts that begin with SRG are the Gas-A-Just monotube shock versions, while the SR are the Excel-G twin tubes. I'm going with the latter on my stock 05' V8 4WD, after much consideration. I'm 99% pavement, and the 1% will be nothing more than dirt roads and potentially sand.

Update: The KYB strut assemblies and shocks are on, the ride has been transformed. I suspect my XREAS shocks were original and my 4runner has just over 132K on the odometer. Will see how she does on the interstate/freeway more, but around town is great now. Compliant ride, bumps feel normal/comfortable, braking and acceleration are even smoother and more predictable.

Spring compressors are not necessary, just use your floor jack under the LCA, remove the top nut on the shock and lower the jack, the shock comes out along with the spring, you can then remove your upper shock seat (3 bolts) and then reverse process for install. There are a couple of other steps, but this is it in a nutshell, I've used it several times.
