Last Minute Advice Needed - Tires

I put 285's on my TE. Had to slightly adjust the inner fender walls but they fit nicely now

Did you get a spare on? I looked under my TE I don't think anything larger than a 275 would fit under mine without interfering with the KDSS.

I second your assessment of the Revo 2’s. Huge improvement over OEM’s in many ways. I sold my OEMs for 450 on Craigslist in about a half a day so double win!

For me the Revo 2 seems like a great mix of on and off road performance. I think the most welcomed change besides the much more aggressive look was the highway tracking improvement. When I had the OEM’s on the truck would tend to wander slightly to the point I was thinking about making the dealer do an alignment… New tires solved it though  Straight as an arrow now!

What is that about? We just drove our 5th gen in 3 inches of snow and these factory tires are horrible. Actually got stuck in a parking space until I put it in 4WD. Is there some information I can use to get the dealer to authorize a swap? I know what I want (BFG A/Ts).

I just got my SR5. I'm waiting as we speak as the dealer swaps out the Dunlops with the Michelin LTX MS/2 in 265/70R17. Have these on my F150 and they really improved the ride and handling. Will post again once I take possession and put a few miles on them!

Where your OEMs Toyo or Bridgesgtones? I have Toyos Geolanders on mine and the tracking is horrible on new concrete roads with groves approximately one inch apart in the same directionas the road. Did you ever have that problem? Do the 20" revo's solve it. On a separate thread, a number of folks had this issue.

In my case, I talked to a couple of local dealers - One said I would need to come by and the other gave me a regional phone number to call. The rep at the other end was initially resistant, but I calmly pressed my point that I was fundamentally unhappy with the OEM tires.

The rep would not commit to my request, but indirectly suggested that when I went by an authorized dealer they would work with them to authorize the swap. Turned out exactly that way.

Interestingly, although I was/am pretty happy with the Revo2s, I have had some speed wobble that I can't get rid of, which I will post about pretty soon...

Also looking to get rid of the "shake" I'm hoping its my stock Duellers that are causing it, and I'm thinking the REVOs are my way out. It's really quite annoying at 62-65mph or so.

Ack! hope it turned out ok.

I checked with TireRack and they said the Revo2's are 4-6 weeks out.

Anyone install a 5th as a spare? I imagine the old 245s are too different in overall height to leave down there.
