You just gave me an idea, and I don't know why I didn't think of it before. I tossed around the plywood idea, but didn't think straps to the mounting points would make it sit the way I wanted. I just now had the thought to remove the panel with the tie downs at the base of the rear seat, and remove the tie downs near the hatch. You can cut your plywood to fit the entire space, and use bolts to secure the plywood to the original tie down mounting points.

Same configuration I had on my previous cargo area.

None so far. You might hear a LITTLE whistle from the light bar but that could be coming from the rack.

Haha. I wouldn't jump my runner, but the taco was fun. Nowhere near as nice as the 4Runner.

I'm just waiting on the fender flares. Also adding an iPad mini for back country gps use. Also adding a transfer case skid plate. I bashed up the Tacoma really bad and it made me realize I need the extra protection.
