LawnDart's Build Thread

[LawnDart]

I agree with you greatly and I really am starting to appreciate the more subtle but practical builds. In regards to you "ONLY" comment. I laugh, because lets be honest. Something else will come up. . . .Again great looking Runner

SHUT UP! I'm trying to convince myself the end is in sight!

You just gave me an idea, and I don't know why I didn't think of it before. I tossed around the plywood idea, but didn't think straps to the mounting points would make it sit the way I wanted. I just now had the thought to remove the panel with the tie downs at the base of the rear seat, and remove the tie downs near the hatch. You can cut your plywood to fit the entire space, and use bolts to secure the plywood to the original tie down mounting points.

Same configuration I had on my previous cargo area.

One of my favorite trucks on this site, well done! I'm sure it is somewhere in this thread but how much of a lift did your suspension provide?

None so far. You might hear a LITTLE whistle from the light bar but that could be coming from the rack.

So I was borrowing a 2016 Tacoma...

This is either evidence FOR...or AGAINST...why you should let me borrow a vehicle without many responsibilities:

NICE PIC! your 4runner has come a loooooonnngg way since i DMed you about your sliders hahah

i'm an idiot.. i thought you jumped your 4runner haha

can't wait to see all the sema builds. I've somewhat been following toytec's 2016 tacoma build. That thing is coming out pretty nice.

Haha. I wouldn't jump my runner, but the taco was fun. Nowhere near as nice as the 4Runner.

I'm just waiting on the fender flares. Also adding an iPad mini for back country gps use. Also adding a transfer case skid plate. I bashed up the Tacoma really bad and it made me realize I need the extra protection.

Debating mounting my iPad Air inside my truck, for better offroad navigation.

Thoughts?

[Mistaken]

That would be awesome. They make some nice mounts for them that seem super sturdy.

The RAM mount arm, the one that's bendy, is easily reversible.
