lazy antenna question

Guys, I'm sorry - I found the stubby antenna thread, but I didn't want to read through all 11 or however many pages to find my answer. What do I need to treat my new antenna to prevent rusting and other problems? I thought it was some non-conductive lubricant..

I put nothing on mine. Then again, I live in a desert so nothing rusts here.
