LED Brake/Tail Light

I installed 2 replacement 7443 LED bulbs in the brake light sockets when the old ones burned out. They work great, just not as brake lights. Only as running lights. How do I fix this? I have found tons of 3rd brake info and flasher info, but I'm not sure what to do for the brake lights.

The LED bulbs I have are Pilot Red 7443 12v, 15 LED, IL-7443R-15. Specified for brake lights.

How many lead wires are there going into the bulb? They need to be the 2 "filament" lights if they are going to work.

By chance have you tried installing the bulb in the other orientation? Sometimes they are directional being that they are diodes... Maybe it's only in the brake circuit?

Check the brake fuse?

4 wires on the LED "bulb" and I have tried both directions on the LED "bulb". I will check the fuse, thanks for the idea. Going to call the manufacturer also. They are nice and bright, so I hope I can get them to work.

Now I noticed that when the lights are off, the panel lights dim when I touch the brake pedal. If the lights are on, no change. The manufacturer said return them for another set, they must be defective.

I'm gonna throw a BS flag and say they don't work right in my truck. Return and go back to old style or another brand. Any success with other brands out there? I do dig the way these look!
