My light bar is behind the grill as well, I just made a bezel to make it cleaner looking after I cut the opening so the light would be unobstructed.
Also, I think if someone really wanted to take your light, they would just cut the grill and take it.

No Marco I don't.
But if it mounts with the fixtures like mine does, mounting studs/adjusters under the light bar, it probably only be limited as to the width of the grill opening available.... if that makes any sense to you.
Just remember the grill does have a slight curve, so that may cause some interference.....
EDIT: you could always check on curved bars & opening!

Makes sense! I'm hoping to get a 30 curved under there. I'll report back in a few months hahaha

A curved loght would be alot more trouble that a straight light bar. If you are buying maybe get a straight light instead of curved? I am curious of the total space on the upper part of the grill, may try one of the ebay cree bars to try it out and see how I like it.

I saw that, but my upper grill is different being a TRD Pro. I think that a 24" fits just fine, another user has done this using a Procomp light bar.
I wish I knew more about the LED light bars. When I last researched it Rigid was the new lid on the block. I know to look for Cree and look for 10W along with the milspec or IPF ratings other than that who knows they change like every two months.

I like the 10W CREE's ...they work for me.
There are a few LED bars out there ranging in a variety of prices!

Love the grill mounted light and probably what I'll do but what's the longest light bar you would mount on a drabbits or Gobi rack?

I am mounting one of the desert stalker 40" curved, amd gobi is making the rack to the light no extra charge. Desertwarrior also has this light on his rig if wan to see pictures. I will post mine up when installed.
I also changed my mind i am now going with 3w leds double row to match my roof rack Led Bar. I ended up finding a IP67 light 32" 180w that seemed to be somewhere in the hogher quality, though around $180 we will see. I found it on ebay. I havent pulled the trigger yet since I need to measure the upper area to see if it will fit and cannot do until i have a truck on hand.
Now for a circuit has anyone ued te 4x4 SPOD? It looks like it is the way to go these days. Alot nocer than how I did my fj with the marine fuse block i kept in the kick panel. I do like that it has the complete circuit in it think either 6 or 8 circuits high amperage ones too. And mounts in the engine bay which makes it easy to get to. I wrote them since they have a newer mosfet model coming out that uses a cat 6 cable to a remote controller in the vehicle to which the switches are wires are wired making it even more streamlined. I would like some opinions on it as it looks to be my best option right now. On a side note there is a cost associated with it, but to its advantage wiring up that many circuits with a fuse block etc was north of $200 in my fj. Not that much of a stretch here.
