Explain how that helps you over a normal steering wheel? Because, most with a disability use a small wheel attached to the wheel and you can use one arm to turn it from that wheel back and forth.

Sure, one of the common adaptive devices is a spinner knob, or something else attached to an OEM wheel. I've tried one, and it made driving more difficult. I needed the wheel to be much closer to my body, since I can't extend my arms beyond 90*. The pic below should show how much closer the Nardi wheel is compared to the OEM wheel.

I've used the exact same setup across 5 vehicles over the last 12 years, with zero incidents.

It's a unique modification for our vehicles, and I'm likely one of the very few, if not the only 5th Gen in the world with an aftermarket steering wheel. I've been working on a solution for cruise control and infotainment buttons, too.

I scrubbed my post history related to this modification, since most responses from other members were juvenile, obnoxious and judgemental.

Holly shiiiiit, that Nardi wheel is the stupidest ricest thing i have ever seen in a 4runner. Eliminating the steering wheel controls and air bag for that nasty wheel? Lol. Ya, to each their own, yada yada. Lol

Zero airbag or other warning lights. I did a lot of research to determine part compatibility and make sure I wouldn't have any electrical Gremlins. Two resistors plug into the airbag harness, which takes care of the airbag lights, while keeping the other airbags active.

The only uncertainty was the display in the dash, and how it would function without the button to switch screens. For me, the default screen is avg MPG. When a door is opened, the screen automatically switches to show what door is open. Sadly, I still have the ECO bar, but I'm aware of how turn it off.

For the infotainment system and navigation, I can control everything from my phone, which uses a magnetic mount on the lower spoke of the steering wheel.

Don't let those people bother you. They are usually the ones with sad lives and nothing to do. There aren't too many on this forum, but they exist everywhere. Your truck, do what you want. I am sure people appreciate your insight.

The majority of people do not understand assistive devices and even fewer understand how personal they are - what works for one individual may not work for someone else AND some assistive devices can be very simple - often requiring simple tweaks.

Hacked the front and rear cubby holes to be a wee bit more functional.

Do you have a how to for all of these. I would love to do this especially the outlets but the gauges up front are really nice and I could use that too.,

I just added the Kurgo pet shelf to the back seats, can't wait to try it out. I wasn't a fan of the drop off between the rear seats and the front. Had a couple close calls with the dogs almost falling in the gap
