Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

OK, first substantial mod to my new-to-me T4R.

Front: OME 884 / 90021 *
Rear: OME 895E / 60004

* 90021's are a new OME spec for our trucks and are supposed to have a more compliant ride than the 90000's

Pre/Post Height (inches) from level ground to bottom of fender at vertical center line of wheel. Day 1, no settling.
Driver front - 32.75 / 36.25 (+3.5")
Pass front - 33 / 36.5 (+3.5")
Driver rear - 35.25 / 37.5 (+2.25")
Pass rear - 35.25 / 37.5 (+2.25")

Stock suspension had 118K and man, this OME setup feels so much better. Granted, the stock setup was just flat out used-up, but the new ride is, in a word, reassuring. Also added Spidertrax and new CV axles as the stocks had leaky boots. On to pictures. I drove across the street to the Toyota dealer and parked next to a new 5th gen SR5 for before/after comparisons. My little 4th gen is a big boy now. :biggrin2:

Lifted my 2005 this week. I gave her a 2" OME lift and American Eagle Ion Classics. They sent the wrong caps so I don't have those on yet. I kinda like it like that though, what do you guys think?

I'll have to replace the control arms to get rid of the slight drift it has. Next up: new headlights!

Just got new tires put on. 265/70/17 Duratracs, no lift, no spacers, absolutely no rubbing anywhere. And these things are nearly 100% silent no matter what speed im at and smooth as can be.

I'm planning to do this same lift, but I'm using moog fj coils. What seeing do you put the front bilsteins on? I'm guessing 1.75". Is this correct?

Correct, mine are at 1.75. I actually want to go to the highest setting. Curious if it can be done with factory UCA...

Looks great. I think I prefer with the caps but hard to tell without seeing them on. Either way I like it. Which OME springs and what shocks did you install?

Removed sagging XREAS. installed Slee Low lift. Old Man Emu 883 coils on 90021 shocks in front and 895E OME coils with 90006 shocks in rear. Tires are 265/70/17 Michelin MS2. Gives it a nice stance without being too tall in my opinion. Still has a little rake which I like.

If it goes to or over 3" you will probably need after markets UCAs.

Finally got rid of the Daystar spacers and Installed Total Chaos UCA, Icon Ext 2.5 Remote Resi up front and 2.5 Standard Remote Resi in the rear. Kept the 1.5 Daystar in the driverside rear to help correct lean.

Is 90006 a typo or is that a newer rear shock offering from OME? I know the 90021 is a recently spec'ed softer valved (than the 90000) front strut, but I thought the 60004 was still the recommendation for the rear?

I just recently went with a full OME setup myself and I'm really digging it so far. :thumb:

I will soon be installing the daystar 2.5/1.5 kit in my 07SE and throwing on some 265/70-17's mounted on some aftermarket wheels with a +2 offset. My mechanic seems to think that I will rub pretty bad and am looking for anyone that might have some insight with the sizing I chose. Could I get by with the usual moving of the fender liner and trimming of the front flaps? I have searched around a bit, but not many folks post wheel stats. Thanks!

I have a question, I'm considering getting new tires for my 4Runner (it came with 265/65r17 street tires on it) and I really like the tall skinny tires, and I hear they're pretty good overall on and off road. I really don't want to lift at this time, but I would like a bigger tire. So I was thinking about getting Cooper discover either ATW or ST/Maxx in a 235/80r17 (32" tall and 9" wide) I also have 1.25" wheel spacers. Can I fit these without a lift?

I have 265/65-17 on my 03 v8 sport. Stock rims abs sacked out XREAS and no rubbing. The inner fender/engine guards aren't there though. They weren't there when I bought it.

Hmm. I put 265/70/17's on mine at stock height and they looked weird until I got 5100's set to 2.5 up front and 1.5 spacers in the rear. The 255/80/17 st/maxx are actually 32.8". Even if they fit I think it would make it look "stanced" because you wouldn't have much space from the top of the tire to the fender well edge.

Hmm interesting. Didn't think of that. I'm considering buying some tacoma struts and springs for the front, that might help to take care of them looking stanced

Got lucky and found free 08 FJ coils and struts with only 5k miles on them and and threw them on my daystar spacer kit. It gave me noticeable lift from just having the spacers on there.
