I love them, I had the General Grabbers on my last Jeep which were worth the price. But these are WAY nicer than the Generals. They are quite a bit heavier than the stock wheels and tires but they ride better in my opinion. So far so good.

Welcome to the board! Looking nice man. Just a question, why the preload spacer instead of just moving the bilstein perch up? Does the same thing but one less part in there.New here but have been a T4R geek for a while now. So here it is. My 06 SR5.

Thanks Man! I had the spacers prior then had to replace the struts and never got around to raise them. This trucks the project/primary/pleasure do time is always scarce.

Got some 17" Helldorado 7036 Pro Comp Wheels and Toyo Open Country A/T tires 285/70/17. Also bought new front suspension. Camburg uniball upper arms and Icon ex travel coilovers. Suspension is not yet installed. I'm waiting until I get the rear setup.It's starting to all come together!!! :boxer:

I mixed and matched parts, was going for budget, but quality components. Spent $1480 on all of the above components (340 on suspension, 1140 on wheels and tires). The FJ shocks were Bilstein's (Trail team?) in nearly new condition. I wanted some heavier springs, with shocks to match, for towing and payload help. Haven't driven it much, so height might settle. I pulled running boards, front mud flaps, relocated the front fender liner (redrilled holes), and slightly trimmed the front corner of the bumper.
Badass looking rig right there man!! You have motivated me to look for a set of wheels like this!
I had a question though, did the '14 OEM FJ springs require any modification to fit? I thought I remembered reading somewhere on here that any year models after '10 required modifying to fit, but I have been wrong before.

The shocks require modification to fit, I don't think the springs changed at all. IIRC, in front, the lower spring eye is larger on the newer FJ's, and in the rear, the upper threaded portion is larger. My memory might be sketchy though.
I believe between this forum and FJ forums, you can find details on what's required. If you want easy, I'd get the adjustable Bilsteins. If you want dirt cheap, you can keep your eyes open for FJ shocks. I tripped across nearly new FJ shocks for a decent price, and I'm not scared to cut stuff, so it wasn't such a big decision for me.

Ok thank you!!! I already purchased the adjuctable Bilsteins for the front and rear but have only found a rear set of FJ's. Now that I know the later models will fit I can broaden my search.

I would definitely go ahead and switch to the KO2's. Best all-terrain tire out there and the look 10x's better

Word of caution, be careful with that setup as you may now allow the suspension to overextend and bind the axles.
They are preload spacers not the top hat spacers. Same as adjusting the perch up. I had the 3" top hat spacer temporarily and it definitely was at the point of binding!

OK, that clears it up. Still a strange setup with the 5100's.
