Weird, I think the FJ springs just tend to be all over the place when it comes to actual lift heights. I had bought a rear daystar 1.5" spacer because I thought I needed it to level but ended up not using it. PM me with pics of yours, I'm interested to see how yours turned out. Not many run the bilsteins at 1.75 with nothing else it seems.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I've gotten quite a bit of help from this forum over the years, thanks! I would have posted a pic three years ago when I did my lift but I chickened out and didn't put on the tires I really wanted so the pics were kind of underwhelming. Those tires finally wore out and I feel I've now got something worthy of posting.

285/70/17 Goodyear MT/R
Ultra Bent wheels 17x9 +12 offest
Toytec/Bilstein in the front with OEM/Bilstein in the back
Spidertrax spacers

Notes/realizations:

• No the spare doesn't fit, but it's oh so close. Had I gone with the Duratracs, maybe?
• The wheels actually come with the proper 106.1mm bore so no need to worry about centering discs.
• Lots of trimming, still more to do. Most of the plastic rubbing is easily fixed with a belt sander. Nothing but more lift or the frame mod is going to keep it from hitting the frame on the backside of the wheels though.
• The Spidertrax offset negates the stock Toyota wheel offset. 1.25" = 30mm So a 0 offset wheel would have the same effect on the stance as Spidertrax
• My suspension was so worn out when I did the lift, the combined effect of the new suspension and tires was close to 6" in the front and a little more than 3" in the rear.

I bought the kit from toytec. Very easy to install. I removed the bags and airlines but haven't decided if the compressor and wiring will come out. It's pretty tall though. I don't feel like it needs to get any bigger(right now) lol. The front sits a lot taller and I need to adjust the headlights down. In the future I may go with bigger springs in the rear or spacers to get some rake back. I'm very satisfied right now.

It looks good. I did the ome 885 upfront with the 5100 bilsteins at 0. Left the rear RAS in but adjusted it up a little to keep a slight rake. I hear you about the headlights...I get flashed once in a while. Haven't adjusted them since the lift. Anyway, nice job!

I never had front mud flaps. I do have some minor rubbing at full lock but I think that's because I asked the dealsersgip to max out my caster so my front wheels are sitting far forward in the wheel well.

I like the gunmetal, but I kind of wish I would have stuck with my first choice...gloss black.

That looks like the same lift height I have when looking at the wheel wells, maybe it's just my photos make it look that way. I'm very happy with how mine looks now, I plan to keep it this way, much better than stock.

I think mine looks lower due to the plastic running boards. I've been wanting to take them off, but the wifey...:lalala:

2007 4 runner, 2inch spacers, what size tires?

Hey everyone,

I have a 2007 4 runner and I'm installing 2inch spacers in the next week and I am trying to figure out the size of tire I should get after the 2inch spacers are installed. My stock tire size/tire size right now is 265/60R18, I was thinking about getting 265/70R18 after the spacers are put on. What are your opinions?

BTW I really like the color of your wheels, I just got the fx pro wheels from FN, but i think they are quite a bit darker than yours. I'm not the happiest about that

do you have rubbing issues? i have the same wheels and want these tires, but all i have for lift is the daystar 2.5/1.5 spacer lift. not sure what kind of rubbing issues i'll have

Finally got my new wheels and tires on! I debated for a very long time on whether to get 275s or 285s. I wanted the 285s all along but did not want to do a BMC. After tireless research and advice from forum members, I just said F it and went with the 285s.

I gotta say that I couldn't be happier and no BMC needed. The tire shop just pushed the fender liners forward and removed the front mud flaps. Thanks Carl!

Wheels are the SCS sr8 on 285/70r17 Duratracs. Bilsteins all around with front set at 2.5 and rear 1.5 daystar spacers.

I want the same size tires, but i can't go without my mud flaps would you still have to remove them with the 275/70 tires?
