Been reading pages and pages... my head hurts. can I get a 3 in lift with having getting aftermarket uca ? Do all 4runners have Alignment problems at 3 in? Also I do want to run 285 tire size. Might just go with a 2.5 lift... if 3in has all the trouble .

The 5100 bilstein set at max-2.5 gave me about 3" of lift, as opposed to the 2.5" daystar spacer on oem xreas struts that gave me about 2". I wish I just installed the 5100s originally instead of installing the spacer kit, much better ride, and adjustable if a smaller tire/lift becomes wanted, my stock uca touches the coil on driver side at full extension but Im not an extreme off road type.

No chop, just fender liner moved forward, and plastic bumper trimmed inch or two.

I think this is the best proportioned 4th gen 4R I've seen with lift and tire size. It's interesting how each tire manufacturer varies in it's actual tire specs and appearance, especially say BFG vs Toyo, Nitto, or Mickey Thompson. I had 265/70R17 MTZP3 side by side with 275/70R17 KO2 and they're near identical in height and width. I'm going with the MTZ on 17x9 with a 2.5/1.5 on a 07' Sport 4x4. I'm keeping the XREAS intact combined with Daystar spacers. Pics coming as soon as it's all installed.

Does anyone have an recommendation for this, my 4runner isn't driving as smoothly as i would like it too would i need to replace my shocks and struts or just my struts and at the same time i would like to lift it. 3inch in the front and 2inch in the back

Here's my new (to me) 2007 Limited. Just added Mastercraft Courser AXTs P265/70R18 and a Daystar 2.5"/1.5" leveling spacer lift. Very happy with the results. The tires are awesome. They feel especially planted in the rain. I'm very happy with the look, feel and ride of the tire/lift combo but it's already got me thinking about going a bit higher.

This set up ended up working perfectly for my needs. Bought everything off of amazon, ebay and craigslist! Hope ya'll like it as much as I do.

Front suspension: OME885 Bilstein 5100s "second notch"
Rear suspension: Procomp FJ 3" Lift springs Bilstein 5100s
Body lift: 2" Fat Pats Body lift
Tires: 285/75/16 Procomp Xtreme Terrains on 16" Cragar steel rims

I know what you mean with the Daystar. It says 2.5" but looks more like 1.5" when compared to a true 3" lift. My CVs are still almost completely straight which let's me know I have plenty more room for additional lift.

Yes, that rake is a bit too much. The OME HD coils are designed for carrying a constant heavy load, like 600lbs of camping/touring stuff. Will you be doing that? If not, I don't think they will settle as much as you need.

I will be carrying camping equipment when I go camping but it wont be 600lbs of gear. Down the line I would like to get a steel plate rear bumper but that wont happen until next year. I was thinking of installing some spacers in the front to level it out but that would put me at 3" up front and isn't that the height that the 4th gen has issues with the UCA?

Anyone running Vision soft 8 17x8 -12 wheels? Got mine today and realized they don't clear the front brake calipers, just wondering if I need a 1" or 1" 1/4 spacer to fit them

FJ Cruiser Offroad edtion coils and shocks(silver Bilstein). BFG A/T KO 265/75/16

cost: $100 for everything, include the complete assembled front strut assembly.

3/4" front, 1" rear. firmer ride, cheap and effective, done by 3 hours by myself in the drive way with simple tools.

FJC front shock assembly(silver) vs. stock SR5 (black): coils have same amount of wraps, but FJC coil has thicker wire.

FJC rear coils have 1 extra wrap, also thicker wire, but same length as stock SR5 4Runner unloaded.

I like the look of your lift! I have an '04 T4R and need tires soon. I'm browsing this thread to get an idea of lifts/tires that I should target. Thanks for the good looking idea!

Here is my rig

I recently put on the toytec billstein 5100 kit with had springs in the back since I toe my boat and a utility trailer. I also added 265/70 r17 Goodyear duratrac tires. I like the setup. No rubbing on the tires.
