Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

I think I'm going to try to fit these in with some nice aftermarket wheels.
305/70-17 (equates to 33.8x12) bfgoodrich mud terrain t/a km2 has a set in this size from discount tire.

Here's what I found regarding tire sizes.
Current stock: 265/75-16 = 31.6x10.4

295/75-16 = 33.4x11.6

295/70-17 = 33.3x11.6 (Nitto makes this size along with a few others)
285/75-17 = 33.8x11.2 (can't find any tires made in this size)
305/70-17 = 33.8x12

The 285/70-17 just wasn't going to cut it for me. (Not big enough to validate spending the money)

nitto makes their new terra grappler g2 in 285/75/17 and that shit is nice, i saw it in person and it is definitely a nice tire, it may be my next one to be honest. I almost bought them but the price for my 5 falken at3w's were way to good.

Thanks guys. Like I said, not opposed to trimming or chopping at all. Just might need help doing so as I've never done it and don't know exactly what I'm doing.
From what I've read, 285/70-17 is actually just shy of a true 33.
35s would be great but I worry they may be too heavy for this V6.
And of course, aftermarket wheels are a must.

didn't lose much power on my rig with 33s and a v6. I still smoked my brothers new chevy diesel and a new dodge pickup.

Am actually might go 255/75-17 now to save money on gas my commute to work got longer and with heavy traffic. But would love to have 285/75-17. But i feel the power difference with my p rated atII. I know if i go smaller am going to cry on the way it looks

It was really not a big difference from stock streets to 33 inch muds. Get the 33s, otherwise you will want bigger tires anyway. I kinda want 35's.

I am working towards 35's when my current set wear out. I have done 38's before and probably wouldn't got that large again unless it was a dedicated trail rig.

I dont really go to trails that often. Maybe 255/75 duratrac will get me back to 18 mpg instead of 14 mpg. I do feel a decrease in power in certain situations with the truck. Their times when i think its not even on 285/70

35's with 4.88 gears here and wouldn't turn back

I'm about to do 35s on stock gears for my V8 sport. I'm not sure how slow it will be but I have no armor and no extra weight so I'm thinking ill be fine. Plus my Toyo Mts I currently have weigh 75lbs a piece

Ran that way for a long time. Only went to 4.88's when I grenaded my rear end on the trail.

But ran great without regearing.

I have 35's and stock gears, no issues. It down shifts easier of course, but that V8 torque hauls ass easily still. My tire and wheel combo weighs 108lbs a piece!

I don't remember, V8? If so how fast is that thing with the gears? Mine rips still, I imagine gears would make it nastayy! Lol

It's fast. Lots of power and low end torque. Ive actually had my front wheels off the ground at acceleration. BUT I don't have lockers yet. I want lockers too!

Nice! I gained so much with my exhaust I can't imagine with gears! 37's and 4.88's with a Detroit is what I'd like.

Thinking Cooper STT Pro's... Or the Hankook dynapro MT's again since they've been so awesome!

Anyone ever use something like these to level your 4Runner? Any suggestions on the best way to level it?

Holy crap, what are those??!! Some sort of magnetic leveling devices??

JK. Yes, tons have them. Search around the forum. Either spacers or 5100 bilsteins for a cheap leveling setup.
