JK. Yes, tons have them. Search around the forum. Either spacers or 5100 bilsteins for a cheap leveling setup.

This is exactly what my rig has. Plus a toytec 1" body lift.
SUPER easy.
It's not meant to be long term (at least not for me) just a cheap lift to get me by until I can afford fj coils and bilstien shocks, Control arms etc etc.
happy with it over all

I have 35's and stock gears, no issues. It down shifts easier of course, but that V8 torque hauls ass easily still. My tire and wheel combo weighs 108lbs a piece!

That's what mines just about weighs to with Stock wheels and these Toyos
Good to know about the gearing though, I'm in SA,Tx pretty close to see level so I don't see power loss like a lot of guys up north and I feel like it's pretty fast, I just got done with a 600 mile trip to almost Mexico and back home, I avg 14.0 mpg driving between 80-90 the whole way

Ran that way for a long time. Only went to 4.88's when I grenaded my rear end on the trail.



But ran great without regearing.

265/60/R18 Offset question

Hey guys,

First time posting, long time creeping. I have searched the forum and was looking for help with offset. Here's whats going on.

2009 Limited - the factory wheel size is 18x7.5 +25

Factory suspension.

Have a set of BFG All Terrain KO2's that are 265/60/R18.

I am looking to go 18x9 and I'm unsure of what offset I should go.
My options are -12,0,+18mm offset.

Since it's a wider rim, should I go -12 or 0 offset? Or should I go +18 offset?

I use this tool, http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...ct2=60&wheel_size=18&wheel_width=9&offset2=18, and really like it. Enter tire and wheel info in top, new potential size below and it'll show you what it does. 0 offset is the closest to stock for you, - 12 sticks out a little further. 18 will not work as it moves inner rim closer to spindle.

So from what it's looking like, it looks like with the -12 offset it will poke approx 2.2 inches wider.

Do you think I'll have any issues with rubbing or having to trim since the tires are the same size and height as factory?

You will most likely hit the fender liner in front of the tire with that much offset, and potentially the mud flap. Trim or stick with the 0 offset. That triangle shape part of the liner on front of your tire is where everyone hits.

if you do make a little contact it's an easy fix. you can push the fender liner forward and push the bolt through the liner to reattach it and a little trim of the mudflap will make it all clear. about the same setup as most of us running the spidertraxx spacers.

Did you use the stock UCA's for your set up? I did the same lift with the SPC UCA's but the shop was having issues with alignment.

Then they were idiots. I had one shop tell me he could only get 2* of caster. I told him right where to go, went to a different shop and he set them at 4.5* without issue.

Idiots would be too polite. When they said they were done with the lift but had issues with the alignment I went back to the shop. My runner was so high I told them they must have done something wrong. When I looked under the rear I noticed they forgot to remove my 1.5" rear daystar spacer. So he had to take the rear end back down to remove them. And I noticed the rear coil was not set into place. It was off of the groove by like 3 inches.
With the control arms I pulled one out of the box and showed the tech this is how they are mounted and he still put the washer with the SPC logo spacer on wrong. Is was a complete screw up on their part. I gave them all the instructions and tips to do it right but that didn't work.
I could have done a much better job doing the lift myself.

Ugh, I hate taking my truck anywhere! I've done so my own work cause I can't handle the stupidity and then guessing if they did it right. I've had 2 tire places over torque my lug nuts now... I feel like that should be very basic for them!

Here's my junk again. It's pretty much stock. I got lost on some county road in california. Met some pretty awesome people, they kept telling me the road was named after some lame ass jeep. His first Gen is on 37's with a d300 turbo diesel in it. Solid dude. Ex marine, tough as nails. Had some cool stories to tell too.
