Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

I might be sold on that tire size for next time around. Bodylift?

Also, I get to post here again since I have new wheelswheels
Falken Wildpeak AT3W 285/70-17
SCS SR8 Dark Bronze, 17"
OME 885/895 on OME shocks

Yes it does have a body lift 1", suspension hasn't settled yet so I'm sure some issues will pop up, I couldn't imagine putting anything bigger in there without some major mods. Misses the body mount, no problem there but had to remove mud flaps and some inner fender moving around.

Nice runner you got there as well

285/75 and still running front mud flaps? Impressive! Tell more about lift and all.

That picture was taken before I removed those, no way that fits in there without removing mudflaps and readjusting the inner fenders

The lift is the Toytec Boss system with diff drop and a 1" body lift. Falken 285/75/17 Wild Peaks

3" lift Toytec Bilstein/Eibach Coilovers set on the highest notch
1.5" RB Body Lift
1" Toytec Top Plate Spacer
Total Chaos Upper Control Arms
1" Toytec Diff Drop

This thing is tall now. It NEEDS 35s asap!

Stock control arms? How are your CV angles? Any issues going 3" and leaving all other components stock? Ive had my eye on the OME set up

sorry, forgot to add. I have SPC UCA's. CV angles are good, everything aligned to factory specs. all other components are stock
the ride is a little firmer with this setup but I am pleased

Those are some weird looking clouds, looks like a some nasty weather about to hatch. Edit: Yeah looking at Weather Channel it got nasty East of Denver onto the plains.

this was taken near front range airport. just on the edge of the storm. further east it looked pretty nasty

I'm a little regretting I didn't put the 1/2" front diff drop in. I had enough work to do, but violated the rule "buy once cry once install once".

I'm at 2.75" with a BOSS kit and the CV boot fins touch a tiny bit, I'd rather have the axles horizontal and no fins touching. It's done now so nothing left but crying.

Hey! My first pic post. 2005 limited, 125K, I installed a boss 3 inch today. I have some concerns about the lack of clearance between steering knuckle and tire. Stock wheels and 265/65 r17s. I read a ton before launching off into this myself and I never read anything about this. Any ideas? Haven't had it aligned yet, but I can't see that much adjustment being possible.

Have you driven it? Looks like you just set it off the stands, that is very close and not normal.

I have a '06 V8 4wd, looking to get the toytec 3" 5100 lift, then upgrading to 275/70R17 tires, does anyone know if that size tire will still fit underneath as a spare?

earthpower1 I have no clue. I have 285's and scs wheels and mine is really far from it. Should be with the offset. Maybe it's not as close as the pics looks.

An alignment wouldn't change the tire's position in relation to the spindle though right? When I first tried to put on 285's with my stock sport rims, they rubbed right there on that nub and I had to get my SCS wheels. My brother's FJ with his OEM 6-spoke wheels cleared the same exact 285's I couldn't fit on my truck. My guess was the offset on his stock wheels was different than mine.

So I don't think your lift or alignment changed the spindle clearance, that is how it's always been. Would someone with stock size tires please verify this? Anyway, I think you will be fine. They aren't rubbing now, I don't see how the tire could flex enough to rub a whole lot.
