Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Picked up a 4th gen with relatively low miles. Up front I put in Bilstein 5100 shock with OME 885's thinking it would level the vehicle by putting the 5100's on the rear and keeping stock springs. Turns out the old springs were sagging quite a bit which threw my measurements off. Now I'm running the Cali squat. Tried to install Old Man Emu 895E's on the rear yesterday. I got the old springs out but couldn't get enough separation to get new springs in. I put a jack on the axle to open up space for the new spring and must have caused a leak in my tranny fluid line (today's project). Kumho Road Venture A/T 265/70R17's not a bad tire for $500.

Just muscle that bitc* in there! I did the same with the jack, had to compress the spring a little with my grip to get it in there

Does anyone have any pics of a 1in or 2in spacer lift on stock 265/65/17s?

I just bought an 06 4Runner and already put new 265/65/17 Michelins on. I've done A LOT of forum searching. Seems like everyone is in the 265/70/17 camp and up.

If anyone has any pics, that'd be awesome! Looking at Daystar.

Also- can anyone speak to ride height change? For a 2in body lift, is it a 4in difference in ride height?

I did the Bilstein/FJ Moog lift a couple months ago, only getting around to posting the pictures now. 5100's both front and back, with the fronts set at the full 2.5"

Very minor issue with the install, my mechanic was not able to reuse the old bushings and I needed to buy new ones, which I found on Toyotec and had overnighted. I don't know why new shocks wouldn't come with new bushings, but no matter. If you're buying Bilstein, you should be aware of this.

Also my mechanic made mention that the rear springs seat on axles were a very tight fit. I don't exactly know what that means, but I suppose it's something for me to monitor.

Anyway I love how it came out, especially with adding the black TRD Baja wheels and 285 BFG KO2s. Drives better than it did stock, noticeably increased seating position, and it just looks pretty sick. Former grocery-getter and now a truck I'm really proud of (..and will still get groceries). If you're on the fence about doing your own, just do it.

Check out FN Wheel, them made a replica in 17x8.5.

Slightly. I did some trimming and it took care of most of it.

Installed my new Dobinsons springs. 300's in the front and 599's in the rear. Bilstein 5100 shocks all around with the front set to the lowest clip. Tires are 265/75-16 Cooper AT3's.
Fender to ground is 37" on both fronts, 38" on the left rear, 38.5" on the right rear

5100s all the way around with front @ 2.5, also have fj springs all the way around. 275/70/17 ko2s. Looks good but still got some more mods coming.

We just purchased a 2004 SR5 4x4 and was looking at the Rancho quick lift. How hard was it to install and has the ride changed at all.

Any major rubbing? I noticed the mudflaps which is a good sign are those factory? Any issues with rocks or sand blasting your fenders?
