When I bought my 4Runner the previous owner had put on 265/70/17's and they didn't rub at all with stock ride height. I did get rubbing after installing my 1.25" spacers. Had to move the front fender inside forward a bit, but still rubbed on the mud flaps most of the time when fully turned.

Finally, 285/70R17 Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S, UCA with Dirt King upper arm spacers, moved up 5100s to 1.75", 3/2 suspension spacers, 1" BL, 1.5" hubcentric wheel spacers. Front and rear fender leveled height at 39.5". Little rubbings on body mount at full lock on front Driverside wheel, new brake rotors/pads, extended SS brakelines, and laser wheel alignment also done. Next: pladi dip fender flares and bumpers in charcoal gray!
What brand is that rear hitch step you have and do you think it would be feasible to mount some small led bars to it for backup lights?

I didn't think of it but it would be possible (just had to find way to run the wires) to mount led bars for backup and/or even rear camera - not a bad idea.
17" Fuel Beast + 265/70 General Grabbers
Just bolted up my new wheels, I had searched all over and never found an example of these wheels on a 4th gen 4runner.
This setup rubs a bit when the wheels are turned close to full lock but I am installing 6112 coilovers up front and icon 2.0 shocks & springs in the back this weekend which should give me plenty of clearance.

Wheels and Tires
The ride height is stock and the wheels are the black, machined factory wheels from a 2017 T4R Limited I got from a local guy brand new for 500$ that put aftermarkets on his as soon as he bought it from the dealer. The tires are a 255/55r20 Michelin Defender LTX that were on sale for 870$ a set. I was skeptical about that size wheel and tire rubbing in the front but surprisingly it never does. I love how the 5th gen Limited wheels look on my 2006 Sport

Just installed the Daystar 2.5 front 1.5 rear kit today. I’m running 265/65/17 Toyo Open Countries. Planning on going with bigger tires eventually

How do you like them? I wish the side wall was more aggressive but I can't justify spending double the price for KO2's, so I keep coming back to the AT-3
What running board/side steps are those?

Having AT3's for roughly 40,000 miles. They're a phenomenal tire. I would buy them again, and again.
