How do you like them? I wish the side wall was more aggressive but I can't justify spending double the price for KO2's, so I keep coming back to the AT-3

I’ve seen AT-3s and KO2s both around $220/tire. What did you pay for the Coopers?

It has been a long time coming and I have been a lurker in this forum. I love looking at everyone’s rigs for future inspiration. So I finally got a lift and here she is.

Toytec OME lift with 884 front coils, and Toytec Superflex rear coils, and top plate spacers for gas tank lean. Wheels and tires coming soon.

Here's my 05 V8 with 63,xxx miles.

Lift: Supreme Suspensions 3/2 spacer lift

Tires: Maxxis Razr M/T 285/70R17

Wheels: Dropstar 645MB 17x9 -12 offset

I really like how it looks and rides. It's a very smooth ride even with the load range E tires. I just wish it was a little higher. When its time to replace shocks I will probably be going with coilovers and also installing a body lift so I can fit 35's.

To be honest I don't know how much lift I got. I didn't take any before or after measurements. I suspect around 4 or 4 1/2 inches with the spacers and the tires combined. My stock shocks and springs are in great condition. The vehicle only has 63,xxx miles and the first owner was an older man so I doubt he ever took it off road. Here's a few more pics.

I am considering a lift kit and have a few Qs. Instead of buying the kit from toytec I plan on getting the bilstein 5100 shocks and kyb front strut mount from Rock auto and buying the eibach springs for front and superflex 2.0 springs for rear from toytec. This will save a couple hundred dollars over the kit from toytec. The only difference is their kit comes with aluminum strut mount. What groove on the front shocks would be best for achieving a 2.5" to 3" lift in the front? And has anyone gone this route instead of just buying the complete kit from toytec?

I'm pretty sure there is a spring made by old man emu or eibach that gives you 3 inches of lift and allows you to leave the bilstein 5100 at the lowest setting. Which should also be a smoother ride. If you search the forums I'm sure a couple of guys have done it.

Get the Toytec/Eibach 521600 from Wheelers, nets 3 inch lift on the lowest setting. The aluminum top hat from Toytec is nice but just get the top out spacer, 1/2 inch if you like. I installed mine just before my bumper install to compensate for the sag. With bumper I have 38 1/2 inch at the fender lip and 39 at the rear. I went the same route and saved quite a bit.

Finally got some new tread, GY Duratracs, 285/70/17! Lifted earlier in the spring w/ 5100's set at 2.5" and moog FJC coils. Next is new UCA's.

idk exactly, ik that im 40" fender to ground if that helps. i believe its somewhere around 4"

Love the look, have a 2 inch rear spacer that's gonna be put on soon bc I miss the rake and want more lift in the rear.

How did your window explode? Is it a manufacturer's defect? I've read that changes in environmental temperature can affect it.

I have a post about it. One of the trunk strut supports popped off the ball joint. It slammed the trunk shut and the strut shot into the window. Such a pain in the ass.

^It’s also a defect of the rear window defroster. Can get too hot/malfunction and cause rear window to explode. Toyota knows about it, got a letter about warranty of rear glass until ~2018 or they will reimburse those affected and had to pay out of pocket to replace.
