Agreed. I had a Daystar leveling kit for a couple years with 275/65r18 tires on stocks. I have an 08' Urbanrunner too. It rode fine, and had minimal rubbing.

How does it ride at the second notch? I've read its bad to use anything but the lowest notch with non oem springs

It seems ok so far.. The ride is alot diff with new suspension, wheels, and tires. What did you read that was bad?

How does it ride on highway with no swaybars? Would you feel safe on a torn up road or if you had to make an emergency maneuver?

Icon extended travel remote reservoir coilovers up front. Total Chaos UCAs. Icon piggybacks in the rear with superflex coils. 2016 4R trail wheels with 285/70/17 Goodyear Duratracs. I ordered a Demello single hoop bumper 2 weeks ago, can't wait! I'm gonna have it powdercoated to match the gray cladding.

Your rig looks great! Question on the wheels, are they 17" wheels? I am looking to replace my stock 2003 wheels and there is a set of 2018 4runner premium wheels that look very similar to yours, but they have some black mixed in.

Thank you, it rides fairly well on the highway and all kinds of roads. I have driven this truck cross country but I have also been driving lifted 4x4s without swaybars since I got my 1st truck at 16 so I am very used to the handling characteristics of it. My wife actually daily drives this truck with our 2 kids everyday and feels comfortable with it.

Thanks! These are 2016 Trail Premium wheels if I remember correctly. They are 17x7.5". I bought them from another forum member, $400 for the set.

Finally

After MONTHS of research and development, Spicoli is finally ready for his debut.

5100s all around, icon 2.5" springs in front, ome 2895 springs in rear, and SPC UCAs.

Falken Wildpeak 285/70/17s and VTX Viper wheels.

Zero complaints. Noticing a huge increase in ride quality. Firmer, sturdier, less nose dive, less boat like, more responsive, my alignment is better than when I started. Loving so far. Haven't taken it offroad yet, so I can report back with an update after that. Didn't take before measurements but with my old sagging stock suspension at 105,000 miles, I easily saw more than 3"s of height change. Only downside with this setup that isn't even a downside because I knew it would probably happen is the rubbing in reverse wheel crank on the inner front fender liners. But pushing those forward looks easy enough from the write ups I've seen.

ALSO, totally got the full size spire (with vtx wheel) to fit in the factory spare location! :girl:

Good looking........4runner ...... Just ordered the same tires/size. Supposed to be a great tire.

265/70R17 KO2s with OME 885/895 springs and 90000/60004 shocks.

Pretty happy with the tire choice. Went with 265/70R17 over 275/70R17 for two reasons: ability to carry a full size, fully inflated spare, and availability.

With the Class IV hitch the V8s come with, it's a little more crowded back there. I've got about a finger's gap of room between the spare and the panhard bar.

When I was looking for tires, there are many more options in 265/70R17. Right now, discounttire.com shows 231 different 265/70R17s, and 11 different 275/70R17s. If I destroy a tire on a road trip and have to source another in the middle of nowhere on a Sunday afternoon, my odds are much better of finding a 265/70 somewhere in stock.

Yes, it's about a 1/2" shorter and narrower, but overall I think I'll be happier.

Please see pics attached. Mine is 275/70 r17, with the stock 4th gen wheels it rubbed UCA , thats the main reason i got these TE wheels since they give more room with a larger/smaller? (different) offset, also it rubbed the front wheel well plastic liner, but with pushing it forward its solved.

07 sport with 3in toytec coilovers and bistein shocks in the rear, stock springs plan to upgrade in future 265/17 tires. pics not in order, befre the rear shocks there was a noticable "squat" from the x-reas being removed

Will be removing the daystar and replacing with Toytec 3/4" front level, it's just too tall for my liking on top of the TRD Pro stuff.
-UCA's pinch the ball joints at full droop and have destroyed them
-One of the CV shafts started spewing grease almost immediately once lifted
-CV bind at full droop (even with diff drop)
-Front brake lines are maxed at full droop with steering straight
-4x4 shop had to do some screwy alignment work to get it in spec, still wont steer straight

I'm thinking about putting the brand new stock UCA's I have in, selling the SPC and going uniball or similar once the stocker wears out. Just too many issues considering the fact this truck will only be doing mild trails in Colorado a couple times a year.
