Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Thanks dawg! I want to chop the mount like you did. Just need to find someone capable of doing it where I'm at. Thinking about the body lift just for a little bit more height for looks. Do you think I should upgrade my control arms to the billet ones? Don't do much off-roading. Pretty much the only off roading I do is when I take my dirt bike around to different riding spots.

Unless they're rubbing your tires or you need the adjustability to bring your alignment back into specs or you just want them because they look cool, you don't need aftermarket UCA's.

^^^^^ I guess you can polish a t-u-rd!

And why is the word t u r d restricted here? Dumb.

First time posting on this thread.
Purchased my 4Runner oct 2011 And have been busy with mod's ever sense.
Loving the way it rides, now I'm thinking about going with 285's next.

Want to say thanks to everybody on T4R.ORG for their help. All you guys have been great.:thanks:

Same wheel/tire combo I have Javelin. Looks good, I wasn't sure how the white lettering would look on mine but after looking at yours, probably would look pretty good. Gives it a sportier look IMO.

Thanks!

The black fenders make the tires look a little smaller than they really are. Im thinking of going to 285/75/R16s Next. Its about 1.5 inches bigger

Finally I did it. Was going with coilovers but decided to go with the Daystar 2.5/1.5 due to finance. Still have the 265/70/16s but with the BFG ATs it looks better then I thought.

Thats what mine will probally look like also because of money is tight. But I did find some 07 FJ rear springs and front strut assembly that I could get for around $100 or less.

Looks good. It is amazing how much just the spacers change the look. I am still very happy with just the DS.

Sorry to bust in with a non-4R, but hopefully you guys are willing to adopt my post just this once since I was an avid forum member not tooooo long ago.

I got rid of all the nasty chrome on the GX. It wasn't cheap either because of the labor required ($2K).

What's up fellas! Here are some pics of my 05 Runner. Been lurking on here for a while, and finally decided to post some pics. Runner has been lifted since 2006. Thinking of switching to an Icon lift. No problems with the Donahoe setup. I have no complaints. Just want to switch things up. Only problem I am experiencing now is my tires rubbing the front body mount right behind the front tire. Previously had on 285/70/17 and never rubbed. I can adjust my lift to go up another .5-1", just need to put the time aside. Pics are from when I first had the new wheel sets put on.

Debating a 1" body lift. Can anyone with a body lift on your Runner tell me some pro's and con's?

Donahoe Racing adjustable front coilovers
Donahoe Racing rear coil springs and shocks
18x9 MHT Fuel Hostage wheels
33x12.5/18 Toyo MT Open Country

That looks mean, bud. If you get the factory LED tails, it'll update the look big time. I did it when I had mine. Well worth it.

Jester4kicks, how do you like the ride of the 885s with your v6? I assume you do not have the top plate spacer with the taller 885 OME springs.

They're a little stiff, but I'm going to be getting a shrockworks bumper, so I wanted the extra support. I actually removed my front sway bar to help with the stiffness. Rides a lot better now, with only a little extra roll in the turns.
