Lift Gate shocks BLOWN @ 23K!!!

That's pretty ridiculous for a Toyota, IMHO.
I went in on Saturday and they just lifted it, wrote me up and ordered the part.

For a toyota though, I wouldn't expect that.

People who have had theirs changed through the dealer, did they last about the same amount of time? or longer?

Please realize that while you have gotten a few responses (6) with people who have the same issue as you this is not a widespread problem. If it was there would be hundreds of posts across multiple threads, a TSB or even a recall would be on the way as well. You should believe that your new ones will last as long as their design life, which is several years of normal use. No OEM is perfect and I'm sure the vendor Toyota contracts to build these lift gate supports had a small run of defective parts, probably the inner piston or seal. The good thing is it is covered under warranty.

Soooo they fixed it today and I had them check why the truck vibrates at 65mph and on light bumpy road... Drum Roll :drummer: .. One of the rear shocks was blown!!! W T F

So they are replacing the pair...

No Cigar on the Lumbar support or the Throttle body

I will try to go on a ride along to prove the Lumbar support.
