Limited Edition Mod Thread

Leveling Front Only

I'm starting to plan out my next mod and wanted to get some ideas from other Limited owners out there.

I want to level out the front only because the uneven look is bothering me. I also do feel that nose dive when coming to a stop is annoying.

As I am searching the forums, I keep seeing kits with front (2.5") and rear (1.5") spacers. I only want level out the front and seems it uses the same 2.5" for the front. Has anyone done this?

My objective is to keep X-REAS and keep the 265/70/17 KO2 I have already on the truck. I was shying away from the front and rear lift because I hear that lifting them both would make the 265/70/17 look disproportionate with the truck and upsizing the wheels is recommended.

Again, your thoughts and experience?

This is what I used to level my LE. So far so good, a little over a year, 35k kms, no issues.

Thanks for your suggestion. I did run into this spacer, but then second guessed it because I didn't think it was enough to level out which you confirmed it is a tad short but not too bad.

I'm still kicking around this idea. I even thought of doing what someone here had mentioned - getting the Daystar 2.5" and trimming it down with a band saw.

I'm really surprised there isn't an in between solution.

2016 Limited

So far everything done to mine has been cosmetic with some utility added with the roof rack addition. Here is what I’ve done so far:

5% tint
Blackout enblem kit
Dropstar wheels
Nitto Grappler tires
Weathertech rain guards
Weathertech floor mats
NFab nerf steps
Southern Style Offroad Roof Rack

Next steps: chrome blackout, back bumper replacement with swingout tire so I can have a full size spare, lift, front bumper replacement

That's what I thought too at first but also had to consider the look of the truck when loaded with passengers and gear. Do not want the reverse rake look either!

I should have said it earlier, but I also plan to add their air lift bags for the rear as I tend to carry something heavy in the back. I read a lot of positive experience about it being the most economical and worthy addition.

I ended up buying the 1" Cornfed spacers. Hopefully to have it installed sometime next week.

That look good. I assume you removed the parts and did it off the truck? Or is it possible to do this without removal?

I just taped off the pained areas and went to town. Use good painters/ masking tape, not the cheap white stuff. It doesn't hold up to the sanding.

I was inspired by y'all to trim the rocker and I think it came out nice. Also, I finished installing the Daystar 2.5"/1.5" spacers. Now I'm just waiting on Camelback Toyota to deliver my TRD Pro wheels!:thumb3:

Great job! I did the same thing and had some jagged edges with my unsteady hands. I used this as well to clean it up:

Looks a lot of better to me. I'll take pictures a little later if anybody wants it.

Got my TT BOSS suspension with SPC UCAs on yesterday. A full 3” lift. Got it done at Tandem Offroad, did a great job and were some cool guys. Also picked up there rock sliders. I was looking at others brands, but these were ready and look great.
The truck is almost done for a while. I’ve got trips coming up this summer so have to rest my wallet for a bit.
Want to finish correctly blacking out my chrome using carbon fiber vinyl(you can see in the rear pic my $5 oreilys carbon fiber sticker i used to see what it’d look like).
Eventually I’ll get some skids plates, and led lights as i need it.

Pablo and Brandon know their stuff. Best in DFW IMHO.

Absolutely. Alex as well

Does anyone here have the Baja Squadron R Sport Wide Cornering fogs?
Since these are a bit bright for everyday use, I want to somehow mount them on my Limited bumper somehow. Has anyone done that?

Thanks in advance.
