Limited Edition Mod Thread

Just went thru this myself. Decided on a wrap, turned out poor. The edges on the fog lights didnt wanna stay in form and started to lift quick. Ended up pulling all the wrap and went plastidip and very happy with the results. Had the front grill on my trd dipped for 2 years and not one issue or chip.

Could have just been a poor wrap job or cheap vinyl the guy used but i wasnt very impressed at all. Was super easy to pull all the chrome bits off and spray them off the bumper to get all edge coverage to avoid lifting/peeling of the plastidip.

How hard was it to remove the chrome parts? Did you have to remove the front bumper or do they just pop off?

I haven’t figured out what the gas mileage is now but it has dropped. The 285’s felt heavier but overall I am happy that I went with the bigger size. The lift did add to it driving a bit dodgy but that can be corrected with UCA’s. I have a set of Camburg with the ball joints I just haven’t had time to put them in.

Nice, I'm doing a similar tire and wheel setup. Did you go with the E load or C load Ko2?

First post here. Here’s the first mod to my wife’s nightshade. 17x8.5 SCS F5 wheels wrapped in 265/70/17 BFG K02’s went on today.
SSO rack is next... I’m a little over half way through the lead time.

Has anyone installed the 2019 LED trd pro oem fog lights on the limited yet? It says that the install is different for the limited and wanted to know what that entails..

Added a cheaper LED lightbar in the grill. Wanted to see how much I'd honestly use it before dropping a grand on a Rigid or other 'real' brand. Think it looks pretty nice.

Also put on the Trail rockers and Toyota steps. My wife is 15 weeks and my daughter is 15 months, they demanded steps. So I got them steps. Think this setup looks pretty sick.

Looks sweet! What toyota steps are those? Any close ups or side shot?

They are the PT938-89100. When I first opened the box I was worried they'd look cheesey with all the back cuts and drains. But once I got it mounted I loved them. They aren't metal on the top but a thick rubbery plastic. Very solid, very black, very easy to clean. Traction is fantastic. And they seem to protect the side of the vehicle extremely well since I had to loose the mud flaps with the trail rockers. They also have platic shields to protect the metal parts of the steps from chucking rocks. Having a farm on stone roads in Indiana this is a must!

I'll post some pics when I get back to the computer.

What tires ? 265/70/17 ?

looks totally fine w/ out any rocker trim which is good to know. thanks for sharing

I should clarify. It does not have the Limited Rocker trim, it has the trail rocker trim.

75805-35130
75806-35100
75857-35010
75858-35010

Cost $436.45 shipped.

It wouldn't look terrible naked, but it's best to keep that part of the vehicle as protected as possible.

Yea... I wanted to keep it the same size. I couldn't decide on tires so I just went with the stock setup of Terra Grapplers. Was really torn between the KO2 and General ATX. No one local sold the Faulken or I probably would have gone with those.

My wife jokes I'm trying to make a TRD Pro Nightshade Limited.

I keep the original 20" rims for doing long highway trips. They're a little quieter.

I have a 2010 Sr5 and just did this, painting the exposed piece black deffinately helps, also you will notice the black cap on the front fender, if you have that cap already then your golden. My body style didnt so I had to order two of them, otherwise it wont look right.

Has anyone installed Rokblokz mudflaps on their '14+ Limited? Are the mounting holes the same as the other trim levels? I'd love to see a pic if anyone has done this!

So far..

Blacked out most chrome with plastidip/wrap
Tinted windows
17" TRD Pro wheels with 265/70/17 KO2
Bug deflector/window visors
RAV4 mirrors
aFe intake
Thule aeroblade crossbars

Much more to come...

Has anyone experienced any performance issues after installing the 17" wheels on the Limited? Shifting seem a little jerky compared to the stock 20s.

I didn't notice a change in shifting, but I do feel like the ride mellowed out.

Since I went with 285/75 K02’s my only option was a E load. I had 285/70 K02’s in a C load previously. The E load seems like they are quieter and smoother riding. Maybe it’s the larger tire.
