Hey guys! Just bought my diet 2018 4runner limited. I am looking to do some mods and want to start with the front grill and emblems. Does anyone know where I can purchase them to look like the “nightshade edition” instead of the chrome look? Any help is greatly appreciated!

As big as the front “bumper” is, wrap it. The small stuff can be Plastic Dipped. Dipped some of chrome on my ‘13 Limited. Just dipped the sombreros on my Nightshade wheel center caps. IMHO, lug nuts and tail pipes are the only chrome that should be on a vehicle. The tail pipe on the Nightshade is black chrome. Kool!

Does anyone know if the Baja Squadrons 4Runner "fit kit" works with the Limited front bumper as well? I'm considering a set of the new SAE version in amber, but it's a lot of $$ and I'd prefer they be plug and play/bolt in.

I do not know if they will fit or not, but you can look at my thread on installing Morimoto direct replacement LEDs on my limited back in the day and from the photos it appears the Baja brackets are very similar to the OEM Toyota lights mounting positions. Can also contact Baja and ask.

You're welcome! Also I checked and the OEM part number for the foglights is the same for all models for at least model year 2014. I see you have a 2015, so I would think the Baja kit should fit. If you buy, verify return policy with vendor in case.

OK, so it turns out they're ALMOST plug and play in the Limited. A flange on the outside bracket interferes with the bumper, so you need to trim one or the other. I chose the bracket. The last two pics show how I cut down the flange. Took all of five minutes each side with a Dremel tool.

They generally look pretty sweet installed, but have the same ugly gap on the inside that they have in the non-Limited fog light pockets.

Are they better then stock? (Assuming so, have to ask for comparo). Meaning, is the light output OMG, better, kittle better or about the same?

Also do you feel you can run with them on all the time like you can with the oem foggies?

Yeah, glad to help! They're SO MUCH brighter than stock. Too bright to leave on regularly. I used to semi-forget and leave the fogs on in my 2015 TEP, and that'll literally never happen with these, lol.

I even had LED replacement bulbs in my old Runner that were definitely brighter than the OE bulbs and this is *four times* brighter than that.

I like them a lot.

Since you feel like you cant leave these on all the time, its a pass for me. I appreciate youe honest feedback.

They look great and i want an excuse to buy them, but if they are to brite for street its a pass for me

Totally get it and, honestly, the main reason I wouldn’t leave them on all the time is they’re not legal at this brightness/intensity. They’re crazy piercing. I wanted *BRIGHT* and I got more than I expected. That said, Baja Designs has a new light called the Squadron SAE that’s street legal. Might be worth a look if you really want a set.

My pleasure. It’s a simple little cut to make. I was more disappointed by the crappy cut-and-install-it-yourself padding for the inner bracket. Super chintzy. Yeah, it works, but if I wasn’t so pressed for time I would have come up with a better solution.

Regardless, the ambers look hella dope on the Limited. Nice little tick of color on the tone on tone grey I have going.

I have the same hidden light bar that you have. Which is what I use when I need more light.

I have the super LED, something something yellows in the fogs. I think they are philips. I was annoyed at the price but the output is decent.
I am always looking for a replacement, but am going to be slow to replace now that I have the LED light bar. That lights ups everything.

I need it cause I get home late at night and I need deer spotters for these back roads.
