Looking a purchasing this t4r, thoughts?

I found a nice 5th gen in Quebec with some minor cosmetic damage. Perfect candidate for a new steel bumper. Owner claims this is a trail edition but looking at the photos it seems like a sr5. For example I don't see the 4 low shifter etc that I've seen on the trail editions I've test driven here. Don't mind the French, would someone confirm from the photos that this runner is the trail trim?

It's clearly an SR5 with wheels and tires. It looks like it has a lift too if I'm not mistaken, maybe that's why the seller thinks it's a trail?

I would be wary of purchasing this vehicle from this seller - their website says they buy and sell vehicles involved in accidents ... they do not appear to be an authorized used car dealer (i.e., not a member of UCDA).

What may "appear" as cosmetic damage could be much worse. The Car Proof report would be interesting reading.

I would NOT buy this T4R as it got airbag light ON. The damage to the front bumper is significant so I would not touch this SR5. The seller is not being truthful to you at all. I see many red flags so I would stay away from this truck.

Definitely a "Trail."

It has no hood scoop, no red stitching on seats and no manual 4x4 shifter.

It does have a generic "Trail" sticker on the lower right of tailgate.

Right fender seems damaged in addition to bumper.

It isn't a Trail, stay away from it. Price is too cheap for minimal repairs seller is suggesting. And it says 18°C on the dash - it doesn't get that warm in Canada! :)

this isn't a trail

for what it's worth, the only trail trim in Canada for 14's+ is trail premium with KDSS.

As others mentioned, no hood scoop, no silver valence, no trail rims, no black end caps on the roof rails, no KDSS, and this is just from the first photo.

Also I'd agree to stay away from this one.

Why not plug the VIN into the Toyota website and find out what Toyota thinks it is? That'll surely be more authoritative than a bunch of forum speculation.
