Looking for HELP... 2006 Headlight Assembly Install

Hello fellow 4runners...

I just bought a 06' and looking to install new headlight assemblies. There appears to be one screw that is giving me a problem. It is the one that appears to attach to the side of the vehicle... and I'm not sure how to get to. Do I need to remove the lower bumper to get to this?

Any advice?

Thank you!

No need to remove bumper: In the front wheel wells, remove the screws that hold the black plastic onto the bumper, you don't need to remove it. Push the wheel well covers to the side and from underneath you will be able to see the screw. Its a pain to get to but not impossible. When reinstalling your lights, skip this screw. You won't need it, without it, the headlight is still very much secured! Hope this helps.

If its the drivers side you are talking about I managed to reach it from under the truck with a long wrench. I thought I was going to have to remove the wheel well as stated above but I figured out how to orientate my arm/wrench to reach the nut. I also managed to put this screw back on. I noticed without it on the light seemed a little loose.
