Today I had Addicted Offroad sliders installed on my SR5. Instead of trimming the bottoms off the rocker panels, we simply removed them and then cut off and reattached the front 4 inches or so of the rocker panel leaving the slightly unfinished look of the metal that was under the rocker panel.
I think I remember seeing a post/thread here where a member removed his/her SR5 rocker panel and then covered the unfinished part with marine-tex or some type of spray of truck bed liner. However, my searches have failed to turn up such a post/thread.
Is the thread only in my imagination or can someone point me to it?
