I saw someone say this doesnt fit California emissions or 2001-2002s without modification.

Can someone give details?

Well, I'm gonna have to find out since mine is a California emissions truck. If I had to venture a guess, you probably just have to trim some length off the very front piece, which looks like it just slides into the next section anyway.

Where? Magnaflow themselves doesn't mention anything, the system comes with two different inlet pipe assemblies to fit 96-00 and 01-02 model years. Someone on this already posted a link to the instructions that shows both inlets pipes.

01-02 have an additional inlet pipe that is included
like a shorter one to allow for the 2nd cat?

I clarified that everything is there that is needed for all years and all bolt on. the pictures are from earlier in production.

the pipe for the 01-02 does not need to be welded! Everything is bolt on and clamp on! That picture is simply our first article. Far from production!

Exhausts don't really do anything for these. I think this will be a good option for people wanting to replace the aging exhausts on these trucks. It looks like a lot of effort was put into tuning the sound.

I have a JBA system and it is a smoldering pile of garbage. Zero effort put into tuning out drone.

OK. the cat-back on my 2G had a performance bump... just presumed ditto with 3G.

Ok - I read it as 2001 and up having 2 cats.

They do, but regardless of emissions standards (California or Federal) the exhaust system after the second converter is the same.

This is a breakdown of Walker OEM replacement exhaust components. There is no different muffler and tailpipe for the CA spec models but the converters do have different part numbers, the ones shown here are Federal.

My buddy from Magnaflow said there is a performance gain that he could tell via butt dyno, but didn't have real dyno's yet. I would not expect very much mostly a tuned sound.

Does it come with a new gasket?

Second, I need to replace my rubber hanger mount. Does anyone know the part # for the rubber piece that connects to the center hanger as circled here?
