We shall see this weekend. Its a beast with just the supercharger compared to what it was, but paired with some 4.88 it will be very interesting. See it on IG [MENTION=4159]travis[/MENTION]hess_ Ill also post results here

These trucks arent meant to be drag vehicles. Though the supercharger will significantly increase your 0-60, I wouldnt use that as the determining factor when looking into the supercharger. As for the 4.88, thats my truck and it will be a very interesting pair and will definitely post the results and do some logging with the team at Magnuson.

Surprised you are going with 4.88. 456 seems like a better compromise for most but it is not that much different. Maybe another 150-200 RPMs on the freeway.
My truck woke up so much going from 3.73 to 456.. Gears plus SC should be all the tq anyone would ever use.

Went with 4.88 due to tire size and those that have gone them are extremely happy with them. It will be interesting to see how it pairs with the supercharger. That was the discussion I had with Revolution is since there was already a significant tq increase I could stick with 4.56 but in conclusion we all agreed upon 4.88. Cruising rpm is nice and not nearly as high as I thought it would be.
Very true - but it will still give an idea of increased acceleration and passing power (where the 4runner lags)
I towed my off-road trailer for about 8000 miles on a cross country road trip. The supercharger would be nice to not have to drop down two 3rd and even 2nd as often while towing on long inclines. My trailer is only like 1750 tops loaded down - couldn’t imagine towing a heavier trailer in some of these places. Capable, sure, just very annoying. My old F250 6.7 could probably pull my 42’ 15,000 lb 5th wheel faster than the 4runner pulls my 1750 lb trailer lol.
What are you using to get your speedo to display corrected speed? Does the handhead tuner magnason supply allow the adjustments or did you use something else? My Tacoma is off right now and it bothers me, thinking about doing something about it.

What tire size are your running. Sig says 285.. 285s with 488 would be a bit much. 35s would be more in the zone of comfort for 488.

You would have no problem passing people. I can cruise up a relatively steep incline at 72mph and stay at 2800rpm. It definitely will help with the constant shifting that our trucks are notorious for.

The speed is calculated at the wheels if I'm not mistaken. Unless I'm not understanding your question...
Changing tire size or gears will show the driver a different speed, than lets say a GPS would. The older 90's handheld tuners had the ability to change tire size and gears so your speedo would display correct. My tacoma is off by about 2mph or so by going to the same sized wheel/tire combo that we use on our 4runners. The 2017 taco I traded in for my 4runner displayed the exact mph using GPS and the white road markers on the side of the road after using 265/70/-17 (stock is 265/65-17) but when I put them on my 2013 it was off. I show 65mph but really going about 67-68mph.
I added 4.56 gears to my 96 impala SS and it was reading 70mph when I was really traveling 55mph or so.
I hope this clears up my question.

The gears are not an issue for the speedometer...(since all speed info comes from hub rotation). However, tires are an issue. There is no super easy way to correct it on the Toyotas.
Some have installed a device called a speed healer. Another option is a OBD device that has correction factor capability... but it still won't display correctly on the actual speedometer, Odometer, mpg....

So what is the point of these devices if they in fact do nothing? Where is the speed corrected if not on the speedo, odo, etc?
